Chapter 17

"As everyone arrived?" I asked Casper and Julius, they were the ones in charge of getting the young ones to come. We might give the order, but it was up to them to convince them to come willingly. Not that it took much effort on their part, everybody was curious when we announce we were going to have a mandatory reunion to all members from 14 to 17 years old, in the local cinema.

"Everybody is accountant for" Cas answered

"Same here" Julius checked "I really hope you guys know what you are doing" he commented. From the four of us he was still the one who wasn't convinced of our plan, but his alpha had decided on this so he has no other choice but to follow his decision.

I ignore his comment, and just focus on the speech I had prepared. I am more nervous today than I was any other day of my life.

"Hey" Cas said catching my attention. He placed his hands on my arms and squeeze them in comfort "Don't be nervous, you're going to rock it up there"

"I don't know...I feel like I might trow up" I admitted

"You're an Alpha. Act like an Alpha, only... turn down the scariness a bit, you can became a bit scary when someone doesn't...you know...react the way you want them to." he advised

"I'm not scary! Am I scary?" I ask concerned, great now I had another thing to worry about.

"You're gonna do great!" he said and then he bounced off before he said anything else that might make me more nervous.

I take a few deep breaths and try to focus on cooling down my nerves. I decide to go fetch some water, nothing like having a dry mouth before speaking to a large audience. As I was walking down the corridor, I feel someone pull me to the side and push me against the wall. I immediately recognized his touch or else I might have broken his wrist.

"What are you doing? Someone might see us!" I say when he presses his body to mine, a very intimate gesture between two people, if anyone where to see us like this, they would immediately know there was something going on between both of us.

"Everybody is too busy preparing everything. No one will come down here for a while" he reassured me. He removes a lock of my hair from my face and places it behind my ear.

"How are you holding up? Are you nervous?" he asks softly rubbing his thumb on my cheek

"To be honest...yes, I am. Very." I confess

"Wanna know something?" he asks

"What?"

"So am I" he confessed. I laugh softly.

"Oh Goddess! Who would have thought that two alphas would be nervous to speak in front of teenagers?" I question making him laugh

"If only it was that simple" he said

"Yeah...if only" I agreed, what we where doing today, it went against the textbook in this town. We were going  to break some rules tonight.

"Just remember, if you're feeling nervous, I'll be right there with you on that stage. Take strength from me because I will gladly give it you." he offered "You won't be alone. Ever."

"Goddess you make it impossible not to kiss you" I say and then I do just that. Our kiss his simple and sweet, but it was just what I needed to shake the nerves away.

"Do you think I'm scary?" I ask him

"Yes" he says quickly

"I'm serious. Do you?"

"I like it when you are scary and demanding, it's sexy a real turn on" he replies "But really, you're an Alpha, Juliet, being scary comes with the package, but that just means you're protective of your own, and I love that about you." he says and I immediately feel better, all my concerns from earlier cease to exist completely.
