I stop my car in front of an old house and apprehensively make my way to the front porch. I knock tree times and wait for someone to come.
I wasn't even sure if this is the right address, the only reason I knew about this place was because of the monthly bills that arrived at the house, bills that my father tried to hide but wasn't successful.
"Coming!" I hear someone shout front the inside.
I take a deep breath and try to act as composed as I can. The door opens and a woman around my mother's age comes forward.
"Hello, can I help you?" she asks looking uncertain of my presence there
"Hi! Yes...uhhh does Joanna Capulet live here?" I ask
The woman eyes flashed with panic before she manages to cover it up.
"There is no one here that lives with that name." she says not so nicely and tries to shut the door on my face, but I don't allow her to.
"I know she lives here, I am Juliet Capulet, next in line for the succession of our pack, so I ask again is Joanna Capulet here?" I confront her trespassing my alpha authority with every word spoken, she has no choice but to submit.
"I apologize alpha but your father made it very clear that no one is to know that Joanna Capulet lives here." she apologizes
" I understand, my father as already put me on the loop about the situation" I lied, if he knew that I was here than I might has well be dead.
"Ohh...I'll have to check with the alpha to..." she starts saying but I couldn't allow her to do that
"Are you questioning my authority!?" I question her "I speak for my father in all matters related to the pack, are you sure you want to upset the alpha with asking if his own daughter might enter to see her great grandmother?"
"No..of course not..." she says trembling "Please come in"
I hate using my alpha status to get my way but in this case it was necessary.
"She is on the first door to the left" she indicated "I will let you two have a moment in private"
I nodded and went in the direction she pointed at me. The truth was I never met her, she had been exiled when she was young by reasons I wasn't told about, my father refused to tell me, the only reason I even knew she was my great great grandmother was because I bothered my father so much about her identity that he end it up telling me.
I opened the door and the first thing I saw was an old lady sitting in front of a fireplace with a blanket in her lap and covered completely from head to toe in clothes, only her face was uncovered.
"It's bad manners to lie" she says without turning her head to see me
"I didn't lie...much" I add at the end
She laughs softly and tells me to take a seat in the armchair next to her.
"So tell me...why as my great granddaughter come to visit me?"
"So you know who I am?" I inquire
"All us Capulet's are recognizable in their own way" are her only words
"I'm sorry I haven't come visit you before, I have only recently found out about your existence." I apologized, no woman should be abandoned by her own family
"I am not surprised, I imagine your father thought I would die long before he had to give the Alpha position to you, my dear" she simply says "But I am a tough wolf to kill, and I still have one more mission to complete on this earth before I can finally let go."
