Lizzy woke up with the bright rays of sunlight beaming down on her.she stared at the open canopy of her bed before sitting up.Sh erubbed her eyes and whispered "good morning" to Wendy before untangling herself from her duvet and slipping out of her bed and on to the soft and furry white carpet.
She stretched before looking at the calander on her bedside table. Her eyes widened as she looked at the date. She was going to the Potter Manor later that day for their mini Christmas Party and was beyond overjoyed."Good Merlin."she muttered before rushing downstairs for breakfast.
Sure, she was ecstatic to see the boys and more particularly,Sirius Black. She had undoubtedly gained feelings for the older Gryffindor and it had been proved when she felt sparks erupt from all over her body at the touch of their lips and was thankful it was him and not some stuck up snob in her year.Or even any year for that matter.
She glanced at the massive pile of presents in the corner of her room and frowned. She knew she didn't buy that much presents so she found it rather peculiar to find such a big pile.
She shrugged it off and headed to the bathroom.Looking in the mirror, she found her blonde hair in tangles and immediately grabbed a hair brush to tame her lion's mane.Applying natural lip gloss to her lips after.
She then changed into a denim dress and braided her hair into a flower crown. The rest of her hair was left cascading down her back. She then wore her brown platform heels before going down for breakfast.
When she reached the kitchen however, she was dismayed. Her parents were rushing about the house and wearing their black cloaks for work. She sighed. It had always been like this. Her parents were always away at the Ministry to either do auror business or simply go overseas to discuss more business.
All Lizzy ever wanted was for her parents to be home. For even just one Christmas.
"Your going off again.Aren't you?"she whispered, staring at the floor, looking downcast. He parents stopped abruptly and pulled Lizzy into a tight hug.
"I'm sorry, sweetie."her mother mumbled."We'll be here next Christmas-"her father started but was cut short when Lizzy pushed them both away. She glared at the marble floor.
"Just...Just go!You don't have to explain anymore!The ministry is more important after all.Am I right?Who am I kidding?Just go!"she screamed,a few tears pouring down from her eyes.
"Princess-"her father started, using her childhood nickname."No!Princess or not, your work is more important than me.Or josh."she said, turning around to walk further into the kitchen.
She stopped halfway and turned her face slightly.
"All I have ever wanted from you was for my parents to be home for Christmas and celebrate it with us.Not just dump all my gifts on the floor.Presents from you won't change anything. But,staying here for one Christmas is never going to happen,is it?Because its too much to ask of you.And since the Ministry is so important, why did you even decide to have kids if your going to neglect them and push them away?"
Her parents looked at each other. It was true.Even since they were young, the twins were being taken care of by their uncle because they had work at the Ministry. And since Josh came back,Lizzy had hope that her parents would at least stay for one Christmas. But,she was proved wrong. She was joking herself to think that her twin coming back would change anything.
She sighed."Just go.Your no better than Voldemort's followers.Doing the minister's bidding.Might as well I just join him after all."she said before turning away and continue walking.
"Calysta-"her mother started.
More tears pooled in Lizzy's eyes as her vision blurred."You know full well Calysta had absolutely nothing to do with Voldemort!Don't you dare bring my sister into this!Calysta died saving me from his clutches."she hissed. She stomped towards the dining table at the end of the room.Watching solemnly as her parents apparated out of the Manor.
She sat at the table. There was no sight of her brother anywhere. So,she assumed that he had finished. She wiped away at her tears but could do nothing about the tear stains and her red puffy eyes.
Calysta Anna Throne-Daelynn was the original heir to the throne of Magic. But,because Calysta had sacrificed herself for her little sister when Voldemort came, she died by his hands. With the spell of the killing curse. It was tragic and Lizzy felt even more so alone back then. With her brother running away from home and her sister's death, she felt alone.
She shrugged off the saddening thoughts and stared blankly at the white lace on the table.
She regretted shouting at her parents. But,all of the words came spilling out of her mouth. She supposed it was pent up anger from all those years that her parents haven't been there for her during Christmas.
A house elf that wore a white dress came."Here you are,Mistress Daelynn."the elf said, pushing a plate in front of her.
Lizzy smiled gratefully."Thank you,Cassie."she mumbled. The house elf bowed before a crack sounded and she disappeared.
The house elves were given clothes earlier in the year to free them all. But,they refused and stayed.Loyal to the Daelynn's that they have served for countless generations.
Lizzy ate in silence as she heard the door shut. She sighed. She had hoped her parents will take it into consideration and stay for the Christmas. She was then grateful that she accepted James' offer and go over for Christmas.
She stood up after wiping her mouth with the napkin and pushed the chair in.Before heading upstairs to grab the presents and back down to floo to the Potters' mansion.
She clutched the presents tightly, grabbing a handful of Floo powder before dumping it into the fire.Turning in into a bright roaring green flame.
"Potter Mansion!"she said.
A second later, she came tumbling out of the marble fireplace."Ouch!"she groaned, rubbing her head.
"Lizzy?"James called."I'm here!"she shouted back,she sat up,still clutching her head.
She heard a deep chuckle."Very entertaining,Lizzy."he said. She looked up to see Sirius who had grown slightly taller. He offered her his hand and she gratefully took it,pulling herself up.
She felt sparks all over her body when their hands touched. She felt heat rising to her cheeks as she looked at the floor.
She handed him a present."Here.Its my gift."she whispered and smiled sheepishly.
Sirius laughed at her cuteness and took the present."Thanks."he said, smiling brightly.
Lizzy blushed even more and looked away again.
"Very entertaining, guys."James called from his place at the doorframe. He was clapping his hands slowly as he chuckled causing both of them to blush.
After a few moments, they straightened up as they walked together towards the living room where all of them were situated. All heads turned to Lizzy as they welcomed her with bright and welcoming smiles.
"You must be Lizzy."a soft and gentle voice of a woman said from behind her.
Lizzy turned around and smiled."I am,Mrs Potter."she smiled and curtsied respectfully. She stood up straight moments later as the older woman beamed.
"Please, darling, call me Euphemia or mom."she chirped.Lizzy smiled and nodded before greeting James' dad whom also insisted she call him dad as well.
She frowned slightly as she saw James' parents giving James a kiss on the forehead as well as a hug.She looked away from the perfect family.
Sure, she was a princess. But,princesses were given attention.Attention that she craved from her parents. She sighed as a lone tear fell.

Fiksi PenggemarI will have you know, I'm not entirely satisfied with this story. Because now, after 3 years, I see that Lizzy's been making rash decisions that I intend to fix. Grammatical errors are still present and I will soon be heavily editing this book. So...
