Chapter 33

Lizzy woke up to a growling and sick-like stomach as she made a dash for the bathroom and threw up into the toilet bowl,her hair curtaining her hair in a mess as she clung onto the seat.She felt her hair being lifted gently and being tied up with one of her hair ribbons.She smiled weakly as soothing hands started to rub her back.

"Thanks,Sirius."Lizzy whispered before she felt the bile start rising up her throat once more.Sirius left through the door,probably to get her a cup of water.And honestly,She definitely didn't eat anything that could have upset her stomach.It had to be her stomach bug.Much like the time when she was under lock and key in the hideout.But recently,it had been happening often and she shrugged it off.But really?She couldn't help but feel like something was growing inside of her.It had been months that she had been throwing up.More frequently in the mornings.She was starting to have weird cravings.And she was starting to get slightly plump.But she figured it was just due to the throwing up.Maybe...just maybe she was pregnant.

She locked the door with a swish of her hand and slowly lifted her shirt up.Her pale skin showed under her shirt as she lifted it up higher.There was a bump but maybe it was just from the constant hunger issues she'd been having lately.

Lizzy furrowed her eyebrows and wuickly pulled her shirt down as the door flew open to a worried Sirius.

His eyes surveyed her and his shoulders fell upon realizing she was okay.

Lizzy and Sirius laughed Jovially as they flew on their brooms and to Lily and James' where their son-whom they had named Harry-and their daughter-named Emily-were currently at.Lily had been recently discharged from St.Mungos and though most believed Voldemort had stepped down,Lizzy remained unbelieving that he would willingly step down from the war he was brewing.

But,for now,she was thankful that everything had settled down and peace lived.Even if it was just for a short period of time,she was relieved.

Lizzy's hair whipped behind her as she smiled widely,racing Sirius on her broom in which she enchanted to go faster.

"You can't catch me."Lizzy smiled,looking over her shoulders and seeing for a fact that Sirius was lagging behind.

"I so can!"Sirius shouted.

Lizzy smirked as she burst forward in her broom,leaning her body forwards as she caught sight of Godric's Hollow.They had been told of their location-as Dumbledore instructed-to check on them regularly.And this time,they more so wanted to check on the twins.Lizzy was overjoyed that Emily was older,much to Sirius and James' dismay.

Lizzy landed gracefully on the ground and clutched her broom in her hand.She smiled widely as she walked towards the mahogany doors,eager to get into the warm house and out of the cold,winter air that sent chills and goose bumps erupting from her skin.Though truth be told,Lizzy didn't feel the winter chill in the slightest bit.

As she reached for the brass knob,a hand curved around her waist and pulled her back then threw her in the snow.Lizzy shrieked as she landed in the snow,drenching her clothing as Sirius laughed and dashed inside,chanting "I won!" as he went.

Lizzy couldn't help but smile at her husband's antics.He was a nuisance at times and highly annoying but that's what she married him for.For being himself and being the Sirius she loved.She would never change that happiness he brought her for anything.

She trudged through the snow covered yard and back up to the porch and opened the door in which Sirius sat comfortably and smugly on the red couch with butterbeer in hand.

"I wonder what took you so long.Maybe you were angry that I won and decided to think outside and finally accept me victorious?"Sirius asked.James laughed from beside him with Harry on his lap,sleeping soundly,not having a care in the world of what was happening.Emily,however was proving to be a bubble of joy as she gurgled and smiled away in her mother's arms.

Lizzy stared at Emily and her hands subconscious made its way to her stomach.Where her hands rubbed gentle circles on the fabric above her stomach.

"Lizzy!"Lily snapped,snapping her out of her dreaming.

"Are you alright?I asked you if you wanted to hold Emily about five times.And you started to rub your stomach?Are you okay?"Lily asked,placing a hand on Lizzy's arm.Lizzy stared at Lily's hand in her arm and couldn't help but smile as she thought of Lily's motherly side growing upon her.

A hand rested itself on her lap as her eyes drifted to Sirius' stormy grey ones.

"Do you want to go home?Are you feeling sick again?"

"No!I just...I'm fine."

Lily eyed Lizzy a little while longer before she passed Emily to Sirius and dragged Lizzy away by the arm.

She closed the door behind her and mumbled a few spells-of which Lizzy couldn't hear-before whipping her head to face Lizzy who was seated on one of the chairs in the room.

Lily's eyebrows furrowed closely and her eyes narrowed to slits.

"Are you pregnant?"Lily asked blatantly,not bothering to care if Lizzy was comfortable with the question.She was straight to the point.

Lizzy opened her mouth and found no words pouring out.It was a hard question.

"To put it simply,have you been having morning sickness.Or any sickness for that matter?"

Lizzy nodded hesitantly,wondering if this was going where she thought it was going.

"Have you been having weird craving and cramps throughout your body?"Lily prompted.

"Yes."Lizzy said,proud that her voice didn't waver in the slightest.She was uncomfortable talking about this topic and Lily knew but payed no heed to her discomfort.

"Weird emotions?Like random crying or sudden bursts of happiness?"

"Yes."

Lily remained silent,staring into Lizzy's beautiful blue eyes.It had flecks of gold,something Lily realized few years back.Lizzy's heart pounded.Surely Lily would know if she was pregnant. She had gone through it after all.

Lily opened her mouth but closed it again.

Silence hung in the air and Lizzy shifted uncomfortably in her seat and fiddled with her hands.

Lily sat silently beside her and placed a hand on her shoulder.

"Does Sirius know?"she asked quietly.

Lizzy's eyes watered slightly as she slowly shook her head.Lily's eyes softened at the sight of her best friend breaking down before her and wrapped her in a tight hug,rubbing Lizzy's back in soothing circles.

"I don't know what to think Lils.Maybe I'm pregnant.Maybe I'm not.But I don't want to get his hopes up and end up not being pregnant."

Lily watched her friend and offered a slight smile.

"Maybe you could go to St. Mungos.Or take one of those pregnancy tests they sell at muggle stores."she offered

"I just...I don't feel like its the right time.Voldemort could stike at anytime.I would love to have a child.Really.I do.I just..."Lizzy trailed off,staring at her hands on her lap.

"I get it.I'm worried for the twins too.But sometimes,having a kid is better in times of crisis.They can certainly lift all the stress of your shoulders."

Lily then placed a delicate and soft hand on Lizzy's shoulders.

"And I think you'll be a great mom."

Lizzy looked up with slight hope glittering in her eyes,golden flecks dancing about and shining brightly.

"Really?You think so?"She whispered,the corners of her lips tugging up into a small smile.

Lily laughed."I know so."

"Thanks,Lils.For everything."

"No problem,Liz.I'm always here.Always."
