Chapter 34

The mahogany doors to the room Lily and Lizzy currently were in was silent as thuds on the other side of the door were heard.Lily rolled her eyes and took her wand from the table and lifted her wand hand up.

She turned to Lizzy."You'll be fine,alright?"Lizzy nodded and Lily waved her hand murmuring the reverse incantation.The boys tumbled into the room in a pile with broad yet guilty smiles.They quickly got up from the floor and brushed off the dust on their clothing.

Lily and Lizzy stared pointedly at the boys with raised eyebrows.

"What were you talking about,Lils?"James asked as he took a seat beside his wife.Lily smiled and shook her head softly.

"Nothing-Where's Emily and Harry?"James and Sirius looked at each other and laughed nervously.

"We...uh...passed him to Remus?"James said,running his hands through his hair nervously.

"Remus isn't here,James."Sirius whispered.

Lily rushed down the stairs hurriedly while Lizzy stood there in a dazed state.Sirius scrunched his eyebrows in concern.

"Are you alright,Liz?"He asked,wrapping his arms around her waist.

She jumped slightly and her heart pounded against her chest.

Should she tell him?

"I...Can I talk to you?"Lizzy asked.Sirius furrowed his eyebrows worriedly.

Lizzy closed the door with a swish of her wand,muttering spells under her breath to prevent intrusion.After which,she took a deep breath.

"Sirius.Promise me something."She whispered,looking at her hands that were set on her lap.

Sirius took her small and soft hands in his and sat closer to Lizzy."Anything."

"Promise me you wouldn't leave me.Promise me you wouldn't leave us."Lizzy whispered,looking into his eyes with a desperate look on her face.

"Promise me!"she yelled,sinking down onto her knees on the floor before Sirius.

"What do you mean-"

"No!Promise me!"

"I promise.No matter what.You know I won't leave you.Never."

"Okay..."she took a deep breath.

"I'm pregnant."She whispered,looking at the floor.

"What?"Sirius asked,staring at Lizzy.He didn't know if she was joking.She just had to be.He couldn't get his hopes up.He would be happy if she really was pregnant but he feared he misheard her.

"I'm pregnant."Lizzy said a little louder,staring into his eyes.

Sirius stared into Lizzy's eyes and surely,the glint in her eyes confirmed it all.A large smile broke on Sirius' face as he kneeled down beside his wife.

"You're pregnant!Oh my god!I'm going to be a father!"Sirius cheered,kissing Lizzy all over her face.

"Y-your not mad?"she mumbled,wrapping her arms around her waist as she stared at Sirius.

"What?Of course not!Why would I be?Remember what I told you when we got married?"Sirius whispered in her ear as he turned her around so her back was facing him,encircling his arms around her petite waist and holding her hands that were wrapped around her stomach.

"When we have kids,I'll love them undyingly.Even when its too early.I'll love you and our kids and protect you with my life."

Lizzy nodded and a soft smile played on her face.
