(Ashley POV)

With a shaky breath, I stood before the table where his body lay still. The drone goes to pull the sheet from his face but I stop it.

"WAIT,"

I didn't want to see his face. It would ruin the last image I have of him in my head. With the morning light just coming through the windows and he was standing in the doorway.

"Mr. Grayson we have to show you his face otherwi-"

"I can tell you just by his hands." I offer. Tracing the shoulder of his body down to the left side of his body.

"We took off all the jewelry in the accident, you couldn't-"

"I've been holding the same hands for the past 6 years, I can tell you if it's him or not."

But my heart had already given up hope.

The body height looked just about right and my eyes had already flooded with tears. I paused before lifting the sheet from his hand.

Just closing my eyes for a seconds before letting out a breath.

It's either him or not him.

And no matter how long I stand here.

Nothing is going to change that fact.

If it is him, nothing is going to bring him back.

If it's not him, I'm going to find him and continually beat the shit out of him for being dramatic and scaring the shit out me.

I finally take the sheet in my hand and start to lift up the sheet pausing once more.
