Happy ever after? (A Sequal to love hurts?)

Janet's POV

After another get together with some of Chad's friends last night, I woke up feeling the worst hangover, i've every felt before and I turn and see Chad getting ready for work.

"Your finally awake" He chuckles, walking over to me and pecks my lips. "What time did we get back last night? I dont even remember leaving"

"About 4am. You fell asleep on the way home"

"I'm sorry" I mumble, "I didn't do anything stupid did I?" I mutter nervously and he shakes his head. "You were fine. You were alot more talktive with everybody. They can't wait to see you again at the next party"

"Really?" I smile and he nods "Mhm.. My friends love spending time with you" he smiles "I'd love to go to another party with you. I'll make sure not to drink so much next time though" I groan, holding my head. "Don't worry about it, you'll be fine by Saturday, i'll take you shopping after I finish work and..."

"But, i'm suposed to see Mikey on Saturday. I really don't wanna mess it up like last time"

"You spoke to your brother? you didn't tell me this" He frowns. "I haven't, but they wouldn't stop me seeing Mikey"

"Baby, they kicked you out of the house and haven't called you all week. I doubt their gonna let you see him anytime soon"

"Michael was just upset. he wouldn't stop me seeing Mikey forever" I shake my head "Upset? You told me he snapped at you and when I picked you up you looked scared"

"It did scare me seeing Michael that angry, but..."

"And so it should" He cuts me off. "You told me all about him many times remember and to be honest, it scares me when your alone with him"

"Michael, wouldn't hurt me. he'll yell if he's pissed off, but he would never hurt me" I shake my head. "What make you so sure? If he can beat and rape his own wife who he claims he loves more than anything, who knows what he may do to you. Just the idea of him turning on you terrifies me"

"That was along time ago, he got therapy and takes medication now. he hasn't had a black out in years"

"That you know of and how can you be so sure he was having blackouts when he was doing those things? Just because Michael says he blacked out and doesn't remember, doesn't make it true"

"But why would he lie about something like that?" I frown confused "Isn't it obvious? he just says that as an excuse to beat his wife and get away with it. He's nothing more than a bully and uses fear to keep his wife around and that's what scares me so much because like I just said. if he can do those things to his wife and the mother of his children, who knows what he'd do to you"

"I never thought about it that way before" I mumble. "Some people are very manipulative and you need to be carefull about what you say to them and how your are around them because your brother may seem like he's being nice and trying to help you, but he's really not. I know it's hard for you to hear and I understand you not wanting to think badly of your brother, but what i'm telling you is the truth. he's already turned on you when he stole your son from you and if he's capable of that and all the thing's he's done to his wife and other people, you need to understand that Michael is very dangerous and you need to be very careful around him and that goes for Ocean too. She may act all sweet and caring, but she's just as deceitful as Michael" He says softly and I don't say anything, knowing he's right.

I hate to think badly of Michael or Ocean, but looking back on all the thing's they've done it's clear to me more now that their not the people I thought they were. They maybe nice and careing sometimes, but there's also that other dark side to them which I know all about.
