Joesph's POV

It was pretty late when I left the rehab centre so I didn't speak with Michael and Ocean when I got home last night and I'm still unsure how to feel about this.

When I first found out Janet was pregnant, I was more than happy for her to adopt him and even put alot of pressure on her to do so, but things are different now. Mikey's a five month old baby and he's apart of our family now and the last thing I want is for him to be taken away from his family. If Michael and Ocean agree to adopt him then that would be great, but there's also a chance they'll say no and that's the part that worries me. If Kathrine and I could care for him we would, but babysitting our grandchildren for a few hours and taking care of a baby fulltime is a big difference and we can't run around after a small child the we did when we were younger.

It's the next morning and after taking a quick shower, I go downstairs and before I can say anything to them, Michael and Ocean are already out the door.

"Where are they going so early?" I ask walking into the living room. "They just went out for awhile. I thought I'd let them have a little time to themselves so we offered to babysit" kathrine smiles.

"You offered" Rebbie cuts on. "I don't see why I have to babysit while everybody else goes out and enjoys themselves" Rebbie cuts in.

"Jeez! Will you quit complaining. They went out for breakfast is all" LaToya frowns at her. "Will you two quit bitching!?" I frown. "I wasn't bitching. I was only saying. Ever since they got here they seem to be out doing their on thing and..."

"And I only asked a simple question. I didn't ask for an opinion"

"They went to the waffle house for breakfast" Randy cuts in and I nod "Thank you" I say in a slightly sarcastic tone.

"Is everything ok?" Kathrine asks, sensing something's wrong.

"DJ? Why don't you go into uncle Randy's room and check out the new games his has" I smile and he quickly gets up and runs upstairs, smiling.

"Um.. I only just got that Xbox and..."

"He'll be fine" I cut Randy off and close the living room door and tell them about the conversation I had with Janet last night.

"How can she not want her own child!?" kathrine snaps, when I finish telling her. "It's not that she doesn't want him" Rebbie cuts in. "You should have seen her yesturday. She was a mess and..."

"You knew about this!?' Kathrine snaps, cutting her off. "Rebbie was the one that told me, but I didn't say anything because I wanted to speak to Janet about it first. That's why I stayed at the rehab centre most of the night" I cut in. "At first I thought she was just upset or being selfish, but I was talking with her all night and trust me, she really isn't ready for this"

"Well it's a little late for that now! She can't just give him away" she croaks and picks Mikey up from his bouncer and holds him close to her.

"But didn't she say, she wanted Michael and Ocean to adopt him?" Randy frowns confused and I nod. "Then what's the problem?" LaToya turns to Kathrine. "He'll still be in the family and it'll be just like how it was going to be in the begining"

"We don't know that for sure though" I mutter "Why wouldn't they? They were going to before and he already lives with them. What difference does signing some papers make?" Randy shrugs. "Those papers make a huge difference. If they agree to adopt him then they'll be his legal parents and if Janet changes her mind again or..."

"Why would she change her mind?" Kathrine cuts me off. "If she's made up her mind and feels Mikey will be better off with them and this time she's serious and why do you keep saying if Michael and Ocean adopt him? Off course they will"
