Jermaine's POV

"Have you heard anything yet?" I ask mother, the second she opens the door and she shakes her head. "I'm glad your hear, but you know, you really didn't need to fly all the way here"

"Of course I did" I sigh, slightly and wrap my arms around her. "What did the police say?"

"Same bullshit they always say" my dad cuts in. "They just say their doing their best. But obviously there best isn't good enough" he snaps an walks back into the living room and I turn back to my mother.

"I still can't believe Janet would run away like this. This isn't like her. Why would she just leave like that?"

"I don't know. We've been calling her and leaving messages pleading with her to come back but..."

"When did you get here?" Michael cuts in as he's walking down the stairs. "Just now. I flew over as soon as I heard. How's..."

He walks past me and into the living room, cutting me off midsentance and mother walk away after him.

"Hey, I didn't know you were here" Ocean smiles slightly, walking towards the kitchen. "Yeah, I just got here. I'm not sure Michael's to thrilled about it though" I sigh, following her into the kitchen and tell her what just happened.

"He just looked at me blankly and walks right by me. He's taking his meds right?" I ask and she nods. "He's just really stressed out, worrying about Jamet. I wouldn't take it personally. Everybody's been on edge the last few days"

"And how about you? Are you ok?"

"Not really. Everytime the phone rings or someone knocks on the door, I keep expecting it to be news about Janet and..." She pauses for a moment and looks like she's going to cry. "And we don't know if it's gonna be good news that they found her and she's ok or... You know?... Something's happend to her" she mumbles that last part. "It's gonna be ok. We'll find her and she'll be ok, I just know it" I say softly and put my arms around her to comfort her, but she moves away slightly and Michael walks in and takes her arm, pulling her out of the room with him and again doesn't say a word to me.

I open my mouth to speak, but LaToya puts her arm on my shoulder stopping me. "Just let it go"

"I know everybody's stressed, but did you just see the way he dragged Ocean out of here? I was only being nice to her" I frown confused. "I know, I saw, but they don't like when people try to hug them. They get really weird about it and you could see Ocean didn't look comfortable with you getting so close to her like that. I'd just let it go for now" she says, then turns back to her laptop.

"What are you doing anyway?" I ask, walking over.

"We gave the police a photo of Janet and they posted in on their missing persons site and we put posters up all over town"

"And still nobody's called?"

"Nope. It's always one thing after any another. I'm sure our families cursed" she sighs slightly. "We're not cursed we've just been going through some dark time right now, but it's gonna be ok and we'll find Janet, I just know it"

"I really hope so. The longer she's gone the more I'm imagining the worst"

Ocean's POV

After listening in on LaToya and Jermaine's conversation, Michael goes to our room and I follow behind him.

"Are you ok?" I ask and he shakes his head "It's not the family that's cursed. It's me...That's the problem. Everything I touch just get destroyed"

"What are you talking about?' I frown confused and sit beside him on the bed. "The last time I saw Janet I was yelling at her and told her to go away. If I hadn't yelled at her then she'd still be here and..."
