Rebbie's POV

"You got a package I smile going into the kitchen and hand it to Ray and he takes it from me and sits it down then goes back to his breakfast. "You not gonna tells me what it is?" I ask, curiously. "It's nothing important... Just something for DJ" he mutters that last part. "For his birthday?"

"Yeah. I'll ask Janet if she give it to him"

"You could give it to him yourself. I'm sure he'll love to see you"

"Well I can't can I? I think it's pretty obvious, I'm not welcome there anymore"

"But it's his birthday. You've been there, watching those babies grow up. You have every right to be there"

"I don't have shit" he frowns. "Their Michael and Ocean's kids and they don't have to let anybody see them"

"Why don't you try calling them? It's been almost a month now. This is ridiculous"

"Just let it go. I have to get ready for work" he sighs, getting up from his seat and pecks my lips then leaves to get ready for work.

Since Ray moved in, everything has been going great between the two of us, but it's clearly still hurting him not seeing Michael and Ocean and especially their children. I understand Michael and Ocean being mad at me, but Ray wasn't the one that phoned the police. He actually protected Michael and is still defending him and I feel awful about the way things turned out. I just wish I knew how I can put this right, but until Michael and Ocean talk to us, I don't know what I'm supposed to do to fix this.

I've tried speaking with Michael at work, but everytime the topic comes up, he just walks away and I've tried speaking with Ocean, but whenever I've called she says she's busy. I know she's always going to side with Michael, but if I could get through to Ocean then I know, she'll get through to Michael. Then hopefully him and Ray will finally just sit down and talk to each other.

Janet's POV

"You ready to go see your big brother?" I smile, picking Tamika up off the bed. It's been almost a month since I had Tamika and there's been a lot of changes already. Not just with me Tamika, but with Mikey too. Michael and Ocean have started letting me take him overnight on Saturdays and this week I'm going to be having him, Friday to Sunday and I'm so excited, but also nervous at the same time. I know my parents are gonna be here and I can always go to them if there's a problem or I'm finding things too difficult, but I've been doing my best not to ask them for any help. Not that I don't appreciate it, but because at some point I'm gonna have to learn to take care of Mikey and Tamika by myself and I don't want to be relying on everybody to help me all the time. I need to start learning to be independent.

Once I've finished getting Tamika dressed, I go downstairs and there's a package on the kitchen table.

"What's that?" I ask curiously. "It's a birthday present for Duncan. Ray dropped it off on the way to work and asked if one of us can give it to him on his birthday" Mother explains. "Their still not talking?" I sigh, slightly and she shakes her head. "I don't understand why they don't just talk to each other"

"Because your brother's stubborn as fuck is why?" My dad cuts in. "Joesph!" mother gasps. "There is a child here"

"Well, It's true. this could have been resolved a month ago if Michael and Ocean would stop behaving like a couple of spoilt brats"

"They have every right to be upset. Rebbie called the police on them and could have gotten them in a lot of trouble. They could have even lost their children" she frowns. "Well maybe if your son learned to control his temper and kept his hands to himself he wouldn't get in so much trouble, would he?"
