Janet's POV
"Randy! Quit it!" I snap as Randy reaches over and steals yet another peice of toast from my plate. "Randy, leave your sister alone" mother sighs and rolls her eyes as she comes into the kitchen carrying a box. "It was just a piece of toast" he shrugs. "Well get your own" I frown. "Ok, I'm sorry. I won't do it again" he rolls his eyes, playfully. "Shouldn't you be on your way to work?" Joesph frowns walking into the kitchen and he nods. "Just on my way" Randy smiles, then quickly leans over and grabs another piece of toast from my plate. "RANDY!" I snap and he just chuckles and walks out of the room with the toast still in his mouth.
As annoying as it was that Randy did that. In a way it actually made me smile because before I got here, I'd been really worried about how everybody was going to be towards me. I've been talking to mother alot on Skype and on the phone, but I was still nervous about how the rest of the family were going to be, but with Randy going out of his way to annoy me and LaToya always complaining about something and my parents trying to keep the piece, it felt just like the old days when we were just like any other normal family and everybody has been really nice to me.
"I knew I had this stuff somewhere" mother smiles, putting the box on the table and opens it up. "What is it?" I ask. "It's just some of your old baby things" she smiles , taking some stuff out and putting them on the table. "Some of the clothes and toys may not be useful for awhile, but you can just keep them to one side until you need them" she says and I smile, looking through all my old baby things that my mother had kept of mine.
After breakfast I'm in the living room getting Princess dressed and LaToya comes in. "Your a natural with her" she smiles walking over and sits in the sofa. "Not really. Ocean and Michael just let me help out with her sometimes to get some practice" I mumble. "That's good isn't it?"
"Yeah I guess. It just still feels kind of weird I'm going to be a mother soon"
"Well I can't speak from experience, but I'm sure Ocean and mother felt the same when they had their first kids. It's only natural"
"Yeah, but they were married" I point out and she looks at me sympatheticly. "Is that what your worried about? People thinking badly of you for being a single mom?"
"I'm 13. Their gonna think bad of me regardless. You know what people are like about teen pregnancies. Even Michael and Ocean still get funny looks when their out in public sometimes when people see them with all their kids. People still think bad of them and their married and take care of their kids"
"You don't know for sure that's what their thinking. Some people just find it unusual to see such a young couple married with kids, but it doesn't seem to ever bother them so why does it bother you so much?" She frowns confused and I don't say anything for a moment.
"It doesn't bother them because they have each other, but I don't have that... And I'm scared of being alone" I mumble that last part. "But your not alone. You have us"
"Maybe now" I mutter. "We really are sorry for how we were towards you in the beginning" she says softly. "It's just that we were all scared and after what happened with Michael and Ocean we scared You'd end up the same and..."
"Oh my god. Why does everybody have to keep bringing that up!?" I snap. "So they've made some mistakes, but who hasn't? And it wasn't all down to them. All of you are just as responsible, but you don't see them holding it against all of you"
"How are we to blame for them turning to drugs and having DJ taking away?" She frowns confused. "They were living in this house and using heroin and not one of you noticed until I told you and they got DJ taken away because Michael was beating Ocean and..."
