Sweet 16

Janet's POV

"Good morning" I smile, feeling Ben's soft kiss on my cheek and open my eyes seeing his sweet smile. "Good moring sleepy head" he smiles and pecks my lips then breaks away "We need to start getting ready. It's gonna be a busy day today" he says then gets of the bed and leaves the room.

I quickly get dressed and go into the living room and Ben is sitting on the sofa, watching cartoons with Mikey and Tamika. "There's some cereal left if your hungry" he mumbles without taking his eyes of the TV.

"Sooo.. what's the plans?" I smile and he looks at me confused. "For today? You haven't forgotten have you?"

"Of course not" he smiles. "Rebbie and Ray are visiting with the kids today. I can't wait to hear all about their new home" he smiles and I nod, not saying anything, seeing he's obviously forgotten

"What's wrong with you?" He frowns confused, sensing my sudden mood change "Nothing" I mutter and walk off into the kitchen.

I didn't want alot from him, but a happy birthday would have a least been nice.

Ocean's POV

"That's so beautifull" I smile, admiring Rebbie's wedding ring. "I know. I love it. Ray let me pick any ring I wanted. We didn't have any like fancy dress or anything though. We were just shopping and saw the town hall and was like. Let's just do it" she giggles showing me the photos and her and Ray are wearing Jean's and hoodies.

"Well as long as it was perfect for you that's all that matters" I smile.

"I wouldn't have paid out for a fancy wedding either" Joesph cuts in. "That place must have set you guys back alot"

"It was worth every penny" Ray smiles "Plus it's really close to my work and Austin's school and the daycare is close by too"

"Speaking of close by" Michael says, walking into the room. "Ben just text me and said their on their way"

"Ok. Don't forget what I said. We wait a few minutes then tell her the good news. She'll wanna hear all about these two first anyway" I smile excitedly. "You get the door. She's gonna be so excited to see you" I smile pointing to Rebbie and she nods.

Janet's POV

"Are you gonna be this way all day?" Ben asks as we park in my parents drive "I thought you'd be happy about seeing your sister"

"I am but you... whatever it doesn't matter"

"What doesn't?"

"Just forget it... like everything else" I mutter that last part and get out of the car.

I get Mikey and Tamkia out and before I can knock, the door opens and Rebbie is standing there smiling with open arms.

"Hey! You missed me?" She smiles "Of course" I smile back and give her a tight hug.

We get into the living room and Ray walks over and gives me a hug. "Hey, beautiful" he smiles giving me a hug and I notice Ben looking a little pissed.

I know Ray doesn't mean anything by it, but Ben always seems jealous of Ray, but after he forgot my 16th birthday I don't give a shit and hug him back and make a point of hugging him a little tighter.

"Awww. Has someone missed me?" He chuckles. "Of course I did" I smile back. "Well come sit down and they can tell you about Canada" mother says, walking into the room.

We all sit for about 20 minutes and listen while Rebbie and Ray tell me about their new place and how things are going for them in Canada and although I'm happy to hear them and the kids are doing great, I'm starting to get a little pissed. I've been here 20 minutes and everybody has just been sat talking with Ray and Rebbie and nobody has said anything to me and it becomes pretty clear that just like Ben everybody else has forgotten too.
