Happy ever after? (A Sequal to love hurts?)

Micheal's POV

Ocean and I are gonna be flying to Miami tonight and even though it's for the right reasons, we still feel bad about having to leave our kids behind even if it is just for a few days.

I'm in my room getting ready to take the kids out for the day with Ocean and my dad knocks on the door. "You two all packed for tonight?" He asks walking into my room. "Mhm" I mutter "Is everything ok?" He asks concerned and I sigh heavily and sit in the edge of my bed.

"Maybe we should take them with us. It doesn't feel right leaving them behind and..."

"Your not leaving them behind" He says softly. "That's what it feels like" I mumble. "And what if something happens when we're gone? Or..."

"Just try and calm down. I get that the two of you are nervous and I completely understand you feeling scared about leaving them, but you don't have to worry about a thing and you don't have to feel guilty either. Your not going over there just to go out and party. Your going over there to try and get a job and get things ready for your family. Do you really wanna take them over there when you don't have a job or anything prepared for them?" He says softly and I shake my head. "We're only gonna be there for a few days. We won't need that much stuff though"

"But you won't get anything done either. Not with 3 young children around. Trust me. your mother and I struggled moving home when you kids were a little and I know how difficult it can be sometimes, but there's nothing wrong with getting a little help from time to time" he says and I nod, not saying anything. "Nothing bad's gonna happen to them I promise" he smiles at me through pursed lips and I smile back at him the same way. I'm about to speak when LaToya walks in.

"I think Ocean could do with a little help downstairs. DJ and Veah are getting pretty hyped up waiting to go"

"I was just on my way" I say getting up. "Go where?" My dad asks confused. "Ocean and I are taking the kids to the zoo" I smile. "But isn't DJ and Veah suposed to be a daycare today?"

"They are, but we wanna spend the whole day with them since we're not gonna be here for a few days" I mutter. "They'll be ok, I swear" he smile at me through pursed lips and I smile back at him the same way and go downstairs to help Ocean.

LaToya's POV

"I haven't heard you say any of this to Janet" I say once Micheal is downstairs. "Because I haven't and I have no intention of it" he shrugs. "I still don't get why your so against helping Janet. You've helped Micheal and Ocean Lord knows how many times and still are helping them, yet when it comes to Janet you..."

"Because I can't go through all that again ok?" He cuts me off and I look at him confused. "Do you have any idea how close your mother and I came to having a nervous breakdown because of all the shit those two did. There's been enough stress on this family and now things are going good I can't go through all that again and I won't" he shakes his head. "But that's not Janets fault what they did and how is sending her off to Miami gonna help anybody?"

"Because once she's over there she'll soon realise how hard it's gonna be and we all know full well that Micheal and Ocean are gonna be the ones raising that baby, not her and if she would just agree to the adoption like we all planned in the first place then we wouldn't have to send her over there"

"But dumping Janet and a baby on them might be to much for them aren't you worried about that?" I point out. "Their not gonna do anything stupid, not again"

"How can you be so sure?"

"Because they've already lost their kids once before and went through hell getting off those drugs and they wouldn't be stupid enough to mess things up again. Trust me" he says and I don't say anything. "Have you be speaking to Janet like I told you?" He asks and I nod. "It doesn't make a difference what I say to her though because she wants to keep the baby and raise it herself, just like Micheal and Ocean did with theirs"
