Your head pounded with pain as you slowly began to arise, your arms helping yourself to sit up. You looked around the room. It was dark and something very unfamiliar to you. Nothing was familiar, not even the clothes you were wearing. Looking down at yourself, you saw that you were in a black silky sleepwear and you wondered who had placed you in such expensive clothing.

What concerned you the most was your whereabouts. Were you in the place of your killer from the night before?

Suddenly, shivers began climbing down your body and you began to fear, terrified of that thought. You couldn't remember much, only that you had been attacked the night you and Jimin decided to join Hani at some stranger's party.

Jimin!

Where was he? Where was Hani? Where were you?

You had no time to be concerned about anyone else because you were still confused as to where you had ended up.

You knew the place was definitely not a hospital, it was a bedroom, a very expensive looking bedroom. But no matter how the things looked, you were too afraid to find out, scared of your life.

Timidly, you stepped out of the bed to walk over to the window. Everything was dark so you flew open the curtains, only to be met by dark glass stains. The only source to light and to knowing where you were was completely filled with darkness as well and you wondered what kind of person would want to stay in a dark place without any sunlight passing through.

Your head then snapped to the bedroom door after hearing it creak open.

You held your breath, not knowing that you were no longer breathing, and waited for the door to swing open and reveal whoever it was.

You were met by a handsome stranger whose eyes lit up when he saw that you were up and awake.

But instead of approaching him to ask questions, your heels walked backwards, scared for your life. Handsome men in your life hadn't exactly been a good thing for you.

He saw what you were doing but had decided to ignore it. "You're awake, thank goodness. Yoongi and Jimin will be relieved."

At those two names, your eyes widened. Was he associated with Yoongi and Jimin in a way? Did he know them? Or was it another Yoongi and Jimin he was referring to? The stranger smiled at your expression. "Your friends are dealing with some things, they'll be back," he told you.

Your feet quickly brought you to him in a speed you didn't think you had possessed which made you crash into him, almost knocking his body off if he hadn't been ready to catch you from falling.

The man laughed. "Whoa, slow down, I know you have a lot of questions." He then brought your weaker body to sit on the edge of the bed you had just been on.

Given the chance, you quickly blurted out questions to the handsome stranger. "How do you know Jimin and Yoongi? Where am I? Where are they? Who are you? Why am I here? Who brought me here? I thought I died. Did someone save me? Wh—"

"One at a time, will you?" He cut you off before beginning to answer your questions. "Jimin and Yoongi have been my friends since forever. You're at our place which is basically owned by Namjoon. They are somewhere not here but they'll come back soon. I'm Kim Seokjin but you can call me Jin. You're here because you died. Yoongi brought you here, he was the one who saved your life."

Your brows furrowed. "If I'm dead, how did Yoongi saved me? This place is definitely not heaven."

"No you're in hell."

You gasped.

"Kidding, kidding," he laughed. "Your human body died, Yoongi turned you to save you."

"What? Turned me?"

Jin nodded. "Sweetie, check your heartbeat."

Listening to him, you brought your hands over your chest at the place your heart should had been. But you felt nothing, no heartbeat, no sign of life. You slowly looked up at Jin again, flustered and shocked.

His mouth pressed into a thin line before grabbing you to lead you to a long mirror that stood on one of the walls. You were still confused and Jin nodded towards the mirror. You then looked at yourself in the mirror, an image of yourself looking right back at you. But it wasn't completely the old you, in fact your skin was much paler than it was.

You hands went to touch your cheeks that was now less puffed. It looked like you had lost some weight but how?

But what struck out to you most were your eyes. They weren't brown as you had known, they were red, dark red.

You finally took a good look at Jin. He too shared the same pale skin and red eyes.

Then the pieces all came down together with stories and tales you had heard of from your parents and teachers. "Don't tell me..."

He nodded. "You're a vampire."

You hesitated in your words, still taken back at your old but new body. "How? Why?"

"I told you, Yoongi turned you," he affirmed.

"He's my maker?" You asked and Jin nodded. "Why the heck did he do that? He could have just left me dead. I never asked to be a vampire."

"Too much of a risk to lose you," he told you. "You have the royal blood."

Royal Blood.

"That was what my murderer said," you realized. "What the heck does that mean? I have the royal blood? What's that?"

Instead of answering you right away, Jin walked over towards the bed once again. "You'll need to sit down for this," he advised and you followed his words, walking over to the bed to take a seat. Once you were seated, Jin began.

"There's only one person in this universe who possesses the royal blood. It's the most rarest type anyone can have. It makes one very powerful which is why a lot of creatures are out there looking for you. No human has any knowledge of this." He eyed you. "Yoongi and Jimin are vampires."

Was that why they knew you and had approached you?

"And before you ask, no, they weren't out for your blood." You tilted your head in confusion. Why else would two vampires had been by your side for so long? "They were with you to protect you."

You needed protection, that made sense since you were the one to possess such a rare blood. But why them?

"A hundred years ago, someone else possessed the royal blood. She was a vampire princess and we were her close friends with the duty of being her protectors. But that failed when Yuri decided to sacrifice herself in the sun, burning away into little pieces of ashes."

His eyes grew distant, soft and sad as he remembered the tragic memories of his friend. But the man quickly regained himself.

"A few years later, someone else was born with that blood," he nodded at you. "No matter who possess the royal blood, it's still our duty to protect them."

Then it all made sense. Why Yoongi had been acting weird towards you that night at the party, why he was so worked up on you getting in a cab rather than walking home, why Jimin had decided to get close to you, and why he had always been so protective over you.

And then the tears fell.
