You woke up staring blankly as you laid still on the warm sheets between the bodies of Namjoon and Hoseok. They were all still asleep and you wondered what time the dream had woken you up at. As much as you wanted to just go back to sleep, you couldn't with both the worries of having another dream of...them and because the dream seemed so ominous to you.
Maybe it was telling you something.
No matter what the message was, whether it was of the reminder of your one sided love story, whether it meant Yuri was returning, or just whatever, the feelings all scared you and you couldn't put the dream aside even if you wanted to.
A part of you wanted to find out what it meant, however another part of you was afraid of the answers you'd find. You didn't know what to do.
"Y/N?"
Surprisingly, a soft voice called upon your name and you held your elbow against the floor to help you sit up and see who had asked of you.
"Jungkook?" You blinked, brows a bit ceased and you wondered if you had woken him up because he had felt your discomfort.
"What's wrong?" The vampire asked you. Of course he woke up because he felt something was wrong.
Instead of replying to his question, you avoided his gaze to have your eyes fall on the blankets, feeling guilty because you had woken him up without intending to.
"Nightmare?" He inferred.
Bashfully, you nodded your head. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to wake you up just because of a bad dream."
Rather than responding, Jungkook went on to get up from his spot and quietly walked over to stand in front of you. Confused, you stared at the hand he held out in front of you then looked up at him with a questioning gaze.
"Even with a subtle touch from your soulmate can help ease the tensions you feel," Jungkook said with a soft gaze. "Let's escape this fort."
He was changing right in front of your eyes.
The Jungkook you had first met was far different from the Jungkook in front of you now. Back then, the boy wouldn't even glance at you all because to him, you had replaced the love of his life. He was cold and distant, rude and unapproachable. But because he was finally beginning to understand how lonely and scared you felt with your sudden new life, Jungkook was willing to give you comfort with just simple touches.
This Jungkook was much more mature, more kind, and more gentle.
You could feel the effort he was putting in to help you realize that he wasn't as bad as he appeared as. The both of you were both in no positions to hate each other. He lost a soulmate and was given a new one. You lost a life and was living a new one full of dangers. And both of it meant facing Zero again.
So when you accepted his offered hand, the familiar blissful feeling surged through your body once more.
And the two of you escaped the fort together hand in hand.
Jungkook led you through the corridors and as you approached rooms and hallways you haven't recognized before, it was then when you realized that you really hadn't known every part of the mansion yet.
As you walked up the dark spiral stairway that seem to lead up another place you didn't know of, you couldn't help but glance around, wanting to remember the way Jungkook was leading you.
"I can always show you around until you're familiar with every wall of this house, there's no need to try so hard."
When you glanced back up at Jungkook who gave you a kind smile, you found yourself no longer trying to familiarize yourself with the house but rather just following along by his side.
He brought you up to the attic but rather than staying there, Jungkook opened up a window that led up to the roof and was quick to climb up right before leaning back in and smirking at you.
"Do you miss the sun?" He asked and you were quick to nod. "Well you're in luck, because this is the best seat to enjoy the sunset without getting hurt."
"Really?" Your brows raised with curiosity.
Jungkook hummed. "But we're a bit late so you'll only see it subtly."
"That's alright."
"Then let me show you," he offered, holding out his hand for you to take.
Once you were on the roof with the help from Jungkook, you couldn't help but to gasp in awe at the scenery around you.
It was like that dream you had, the beautiful twilight view you were given but rather than that aching feeling of loneliness, you felt nothing but warmth and comfort. Being there with Jungkook even as the view was subtle, lasting for a short time before dusk arrived, you were happy.
It was like a sign of hope and even as the night sky came to be, they were anything but scary.
Beside you, you could feel a sense of relief coming from Jungkook as if he was relieved to have placed a smile on your face. "Thank you, Jungkook," you told him sincerely, eyes still casted on the sky above you.
You wanted to touch it, to soar into the sky and to forget all your worries, to forget about the dangers of the world you were now living in.
But you knew that wasn't possible at the moment.
Yet maybe for now, in that moment next to Jungkook, perhaps it was possible at just this moment.
The dusk enveloped the twilight sky, stars appearing in just mere seconds and you were left to feel a warmth of serene passing through your body. If you could choose whatever moment to have time stopping at, you'd choose the one you were at now, even with Jungkook.
Especially with Jungkook.
—but perhaps that was a selfish wish.
And once again, you're almost reminded of the dream you had.
But for now, you decided to force yourself into forgetting about that somewhat ominous dream and to just dwell in on the sky above you.

"You want me to what?"
"You have to learn to defend yourself, Potatoes, and to fight," Yoongi explained as he stood in front of you looking all too serious as his arms crossed against his chest. Ironic enough, that nickname he was still using on you was making things quite the opposite.
"Right," you cleared your throat, trying to get into a serious mood.
But when Yoongi saw the grin you were trying your best to hide, his frown only deepened. "Is something funny?"
"Perhaps Potatoes isn't a good fit for me."
"It's the perfect fit," he implied, flicking his finger on your forehead to scold you. "Your best friend is out there trying to get some information and risking his life, can you not laugh at a stupid word."
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry," you pouted as you remembered Jimin having already left to search for Hani and find answers. "But can you at least not call me Potatoes during this serious moment?"
The grumpy vampire gave out a long exasperated sigh. "Fine. Now shut up and stand straight," he ordered.
"Yes sir," you rolled your eyes playfully but was quick to straighten up your body. By knowing Yoongi and his nature, you knew getting him in his bad mood wasn't going to go well so you decided to listen to him this time.
And so the training began.
