You had expected a crippled old lady when you heard of Yuri's great grandmother.

Keyword; great.

But she wasn't at all that...ancient looking. She just looked like a normal old lady.

You internally shrugged over that thought and instead refocused on the reason to her arrival. Surely it wasn't just to meet you, right? Because otherwise she would had already met you. She was powerful, you knew, which meant she knew of your existence long before any of the guys did.

So why show up now?

Why not before when you were trapped in Zero's home? Why not before you met Jimin and became friends with the dude? Why not before you grew accustomed to your human life and having no idea of the vampire side to you?

Why now?

You ignored everyone else's eyes that reverted back and forth between you and Yuri's great grandmother, and then at each other for a good long measure of perplexity, and instead looked back at the lady's intense gaze.

There was a fire burning in her eyes, a warmth like none other and you felt as if you were gazing into the eyes of a grandmother you never had. She gave off the feeling of a home, a safe haven, as if if you were to walk into her embrace, she'd tell you that everything would be alright, that you need not to worry, and that you didn't had to continue suffering if you didn't wanted to.

As long as she was there, you felt at peace, a reassurance like that of a grandmother's strong love for their grandchildren.

All that came from her eyes alone.

You didn't even know who she was, just the fact that she was a grandmother made you feel better about the chaotic world around you because she reminded you of your own family, your human family whom you've missed so much.

And maybe that was just what you needed at the moment.

Not to be surrounded by boys, or overwhelmed by the situation inevitable to continue wrapping around your life, not even to be left alone with just your thoughts (excluding Jungkook) because that itself was a torture.

You needed the wisdom of a wise old lady, not to be confused your whole life. Surely she knew something. You knew she knew many things.

Perhaps that was her reason for coming, to give out a helping hand.

When she settled down, making herself at home on a couch, she asked how the boys were doing, never mentioning the last incident that drove the boys in fear of her, or even Zero. She simply spoke like an actual grandmother truly concerned and happy to be around her grandchildren.

You realized then that vampires were basically like your average human being. Other than the fact that they were supernatural and lived off blood, they all gave off that same basic emotion of a human. They loved, they feared, they hated, and also had that sadness within them.

You could tell the boys were confused. One because of her sudden arrival, and the other because they had actually expected Yuri's great grandmother to be upset at them.

You couldn't blame them, you'd be perplexed too if you had been in their situation as well and decided upon yourself to keep quiet until someone spoke to you.

It was only until you had been alone in the library, trying to search for books to read, did Yuri's great grandmother approached you.

"That series is a great one," her frail voice spoke up behind you when your hand had lingered on a certain book; The Selection. "Though, I don't think I'd want to be in a situation where I have to compete with many other ladies just to be with my prince."
