"You have all the power in the palm of your hands, yet you refuse to use it for the greater good."
You looked up at Zero from the other end of the dinner table, a grimacing look on your face after what he had just said. "Ruling and taking over the world is the greater good?" You raised a brow.
Zero nodded. "You'll be helping people with me by your side."
"I'll be killing people with you by my side. How's that for the greater good?"
He shrugged. "You kill people all the time, my princess. Have you forgotten that you're a vampire? That vampires live off humans for their survival? And to do that, they kill people?"
You scowled at him. "That's because I need to. I don't need to kill people just for my own power and to rule over them."
"It's how you live, my dear," Zero stated flatly, pointing his fork right at you. "Whether you like it or not, the Royal Blood requires more energy within you which means that you'll be weak if you don't kill extra humans for your own needs. You have no choice but to kill, darling."
Darling, my dear, princess. All those pet names that Zero had called you was making your blood boil yet you couldn't do much about it. When the guys did it, it was a different story.
Now you were even starting to like Fried Potatoes, maybe even the nickname Jungkook had given you; idiot.
Because, well, at least those two names spoke some truth. You were an absolute idiotic potato at this point.
"Why do you live alone in this big mansion?" You decided to ask, switching to a different topic.
"I work alone."
Your brows furrowed staring at the demon who had continued to eat his meal. It wasn't quite as delicious as the food Jin had cooked but at least you were able to eat it without having to gag. "You're an exception," he answered your unheard question. "Why work alone when I've got you right here with me, ready to rule as my queen?"
Again, you had to grimace, showing every sign of your disproval for Zero to see—not that he cared about what you wanted but instead had an amused look on his face. "As long as I live, princess, you'll be ruling by my side whether you like it or not."
Yeah. You certainly didn't liked it but what could you do? He was a demon, a creature much more powerful than that of a vampire. But maybe since you possessed the Royal Blood, you'd be an exception? Maybe you could be stronger than him. No one had made it clear to you on how powerful you were, just that you were much more than the average vampires and vampires were quite powerful. They had a lightening speed and were much stronger and you being more powerful meant you were ten times stronger and faster, Zero training you proved it.
But were you stronger or as stronger as a demon? If only you had been given the chance to ask your seven friends about it because you knew that by asking Zero, you'd never get an answer and he'd only be suspicious of you trying to kill him or something—which was exactly what you wanted to do. But you didn't wanted to risk it and have yourself abused by him in case you weren't.
"Zero," you called his name. You hadn't eaten human meal at all since you'd arrive at his mansion until now and it had you thinking if demons even had to eat in order to survive.
"Yes, my princess?" He looked up at you with a sly smirk having finished his meal as he rested his chin on his palm while his elbow stood on the table for support.
Gosh you hated that name but had decided to ignore it this time. "There's quite a lot of food here on the dinner table," you pointed out matter-of-factly. "You don't expect me to eat it all, now do you?"
