Zero quickly lunged at Hani and Hani responded by zooming straight through the room to go on full force at him as well.

You gasped at the sight and was quick to join Hani in on the fight, the guys running in just behind you.

Snippets of a scenes flashed in your eyes each time you made a move to attack Zero.

They appeared then left, following a girl with the same movements you were doing.

You knew who that girl was, the lady that laid the answers to how you were bonded with Jungkook and why you had the royal blood.

Each time you attempted an attack, you'd fall back with the memories flashing before your eyes.

The concern boiled your body, questions after questions swarming in your head like bees yet you still kept on attacking, refusing to back down because you knew you couldn't lose.

The memories of someone else's life wouldn't leave you and you wondered if that was its way of showing you what you could do to win the fight. Because clearly the one they had last fought with Yuri caused them to lose.

Yet there was no signs of losing and hurting and pain.

Not yet.

You swung the seraph blade in hand, trying to get close to Zero each time yet he always had his shadows to go in your way, disappearing just as you were close enough to attack that one time.

Five.

Come on Y/N, don't lose hope now.

You let out an exasperated grunt, lashing the blade at every shadow that stood in your way.

"Stop being a coward, Zero," Namjoon warned, his voice growing thin at the way Zero kept transporting himself elsewhere.

Six, seven.

He wasn't getting smart. Though with the eight vampires and his sister going against him while your seraph blade took power over his shadows, you couldn't blame Zero for not thinking any other way to escape his own torture.

"You really think you can beat me? Just because you have that seraph blade?" Zero seethed, a wicked laugh erupting to hide the voice of a coward.

"I'm not as weak as you think, Zero," you growled, eyes scanning every corner of the room as you, Hani, and the guys stepped with caution, waiting for Zero to reappear.

"Oh really?" He scoffed. "Want to test that, Princess?" He challenged.

"I—"

"Don't," Yoongi said, holding out his hand just as your body tried to step forward. He gave you a warning look, shaking his head. "Don't fall for his traps."

"Ah...like Yuri did?" Laughter once more and you tensed at those words.

Yuri fell for his trap? Maybe that was why she died?

You then remembered something, the words of Zero returning from that night he had kidnapped you. Yuri didn't die out of nowhere because of the duel. Yuri died because Zero convinced her to.

But how?

How could she let someone like Zero sway her thoughts into killing herself and willingly lost the war? Surely she wasn't that delusional? Maybe he touched home base. But why would she end her life when she knew Zero would do anything for his power and very possibly destroy the world once he got his way?

Why, why, why?

"Y/N-"

"No!!"

Jin had been too late in warning you when you gasped at the sight of a shadow taking away the seraph blade on your hand, having been lost in thoughts for a moment. The shadow couldn't hold the seraph blade for long and it was quickly weakened, dissolving away from the power of the blade.
