Jungkook's POV
The power between the intertwined hands grew bigger as Jungkook and you concentrated. He had done this a few times already so it was really just you that had to master your full concentration into the power.
Inside Jungkook's mind, he could see himself floating as he searched for your form.
"Concentrate on my voice," he told you. Trusting in you to do as he had told you to, Jungkook roamed around his mind, searching for another source of light.
It was only until a few minutes later had he found you appearing in his mind. You weren't too bad for a beginner.
You were just a few yards from him so Jungkook flew towards you and then the next thing he knew, his body had collided with yours.
A warm surging feeling grew from within as if two bodies were becoming one because that was exactly what his intentions were. It was a strong force, one that could knock you down but Jungkook held your hands tightly as he continued speaking in order to not lose you.
The sparks that had surrounded them all flew into their bodies formed into one. Jungkook remembered the exciting feeling and how it combined with the powerful force.
And in a few minutes, everything passed and all was done. The sparkles disappeared and Jungkook's body fell out of yours, allowing the two of you to return to the real world.
You stared at him blankly, still surprised by what had just happened before opening and closing your mouth as if you had wanted to say something but only stutters came out.
"A-am I—can I—" You paused and Jungkook wondered what you were meaning to say. Until,
"Jungkook is stupid," he heard you say.
His eyes dropped, face turning into a frown looking quite unamused at you. "I can hear you, you're the stupid one, not me."
"Oh." You laughed nervously and went to scratch the back of your head. "You liar," you accused. "You said this would help me think to myself but how come you just heard my thoughts?"
"You have to think in your own mind you idiot, not the mind that combines our thoughts."
"Oh." And then you went quiet again. A few seconds later, you stared at Jungkook, eyes widened like you were trying to figure out something.
"What?" He asked you after getting weirded out by your eyes. You said no words but continued staring at him weirdly. He sighed, figuring out what you were doing. "If you're talking to yourself now, congratulations, I can't hear you."
"You can't?!" You gasped. "Yay!" Like an excited little child, you jumped on top of his bed as you clapped your hands together.
Jungkook stared at you in a judging way as he rested his head atop of his palm while leaning his elbow against his thigh. "You're that happy?" He raised a brow.
"I can keep my thoughts to myself now, of course I'm happy."
"Alright, alright, leave now," Jungkook sighed. "You've been here long enough."
"Ah, right." You began to calm down as you stepped down from Jungkook's bed. But before you went on to continue leaving his room, Jungkook saw you turning back around to stare at him. "So you were bonded to someone before?" You asked.
"Yes, you idiot. I already told you that."
Your brows furrowed. "But you said vampires are allowed only one soulmate."
He got up, ready to escort you out since you weren't making any progress yourself. "I'm confused too," he admitted.
"Do you know anyone who'd know the answer?" You asked him, still curious about the topic.
"Yuri's great grandmother."
"Then let's—"
"No," Jungkook told you bluntly. She wasn't someone Jungkook wanted to see but with your question that followed as to why you guys couldn't visit Yuri's great grandmother, Jungkook was getting annoyed and of course you felt it. And although he knew you clearly felt his annoyance, you decided to continue asking questions.
"What happened to your last soulmate?"
He frowned at you. "That's not something I need to tell you," he curtly told you.
Your face looked a little offended for the first few seconds until your attention was shifted towards Jungkook's next door room, where Jimin emerged and not even sparing the two of two of you a glance as he continued on his walk the opposite of the hall.
Jungkook didn't even needed to feel your inner feelings to know how you felt because he saw them clearly on your face, it gave off everything.
You were hurt and feeling dejected by the way your previous friend had acted towards you and to Jungkook's concern, he too was slowly losing a friend. Jimin had been his best friend for longer than you and him knew each other but to see how the man was blinded by his own feelings to lose two friends over, Jungkook wanted to just forget about the vampire.
Yet a part of him couldn't let go.
And he knew the exact reason as to why Jimin was acting that way, anyone would if they saw the way Jimin had looked at you, everyone knew except the clueless you. Jimin was in love with you, he developed those feelings when he got to meet you and you may had even felt the same at some point, maybe even still but Jungkook didn't wanted to care. He didn't wanted to tell you about Jimin's feelings either.
You needed to figure it out yourself. Either from Jimin or from your clueless brain. And however things will go, it'll unfold itself, Jungkook just didn't wanted to get involved.
But how could he not when Jimin was his best friend and you were...well, bonded to him?
"Does he hate me?" Your sad voice brought Jungkook out of his daze and he couldn't tell whether you were worried because you felt something for his friend or because he was your friend. "I don't know what I did wrong." You looked down at your feet, hands coming up to wrap your body into a hug at the thought of a Jimin hating you.
And for some reason Jungkook felt like he needed to do something to make you feel better if even a little. "You didn't do anything wrong, Jimin doesn't hate you," the vampire assured you. "His thoughts are just a mess right now and he needs time to sort out his feelings."
Jungkook then proceeded to give you a light pat on the head with a small smile made your way before he closed his door behind him, walking away to someplace else and leaving you to stand in place, dumbfounded by what had just happened.
Of course Jungkook can be kind too, did you really thought that lowly of him?
