"Thanks."
"Huh?" You stared at Namjoon with a dumbfounded expression.
He clarified "That was the first time in ages had we not looked like a bunch of 'dead fishes after being dried under the sun,'" he quoted your words, making you crack a smile. "And it's all because of you. They all look alive now."
You followed his gaze that looked towards all his members, eyes filled with nothing but respect for his friends. A soft smile appeared on your face as you continued to help him with the dishes. But when your eyes landed on a familiar figure making his way up the stairs, your eyes could only be filled with pain.
"If you don't mind," you turned to Namjoon. "I want to check up on Jimin."
The leader nodded his head. "I'll take care of the dishes," he assured.
After drying your hands with a towel, you quickly made your way up the stairs and towards Jimin's room. You were a little hesitant on whether he would like your company or not but passed through that thought as you knocked on his door.
"Jimin?" You called as you walked in the room.
You found the man alright, but could only stop in your tracks as Jimin stared back at you, top half of his body naked after taking off his shirt. You blinked at the sight, taking in his beautiful abs to remember them in your mind. It had been a while since you've seen a half naked Jimin, the last time being at your old high school when he was dared to pull his shirt off.
"Pervert," the male broke the silence that hung between the two of you as he threw you his sweaty t-shirt. You assumed he was probably about to take a shower. "What do you want?"
"Oh." You suddenly realized why you were in his room in the first place.
"I'm just worried about you," you admitted. "You hadn't been acting like yourself lately and I feel like it's my fault."
"Y/N," Jimin sighed. "I've been like this because I can't stop worrying about your safety. Now that Zero knows what you look like, it's possible the man knows you're still alive and is looking for you. And," he let out another sigh. "I should've never let you walk out of that party alone."
"Jimin that wasn't your fault. I was foolish," you tried to convince but he was too stubborn.
"Hani's important but you're more important than her. I should've just left her when you wanted to leave."
You shook your head. "Because I wanted to leave, that was my fault for being impatient. Like Yoongi said, I should've at least taken a cab. Besides, you know you can't leave Hani in that drunken state for me."
"I would," he affirmed. "I'd chose you over her any day."
"Don't say that," you pleaded.
His eyes flicked away from yours and casted to the floor. "She's blaming herself too," he told you.
You sighed with frustration, deciding to take a seat on his bed as you buried your face into your palms. "The two of you are too stubborn to see the truth."
"Me being at fault is the truth. I failed my duty in protecting you."
You shook your head again. "It doesn't matter anymore, we can't change what happened in the past no matter how many regrets we're having. I'm a vampire now, stronger than I was before. It'll be harder to kill me. I do possess the royal blood after all."
Jimin walked over to sit beside you. He reached out an arm to bring your head under his chin, planting a kiss right on top after doing so. "I know," he sighed. "I just can't help but worry."
