You continued on to slam on the door although you knew it was no use.
It was only after about an hour later did you calmed down, laying down on the bed and curling your body into a ball while crying silently as you stared at nothing but your hands. You missed them. You missed the warm home of Namjoon's. You missed the laughter that would sometimes echo through the hall. And although the home made you feel lonely at times, at least you knew you were safe under that roof.
You thought of how your vampire friends were taking this. You couldn't hear nor feel Jungkook so you knew that you were too far away from him. He had said that the closer the two of you were, the stronger the feelings which meant that if you were farther apart, the weaker the connection. For once, you hated the fact that you couldn't feel nor hear Jungkook anymore.
And Jimin. Although he had been ignoring you for many days, you knew he still cared about you and the fact that you were now gone meant that he was likely regretting the way he had been treating you. And of course you'll forgive him, he was your best friend and you missed the warm gaze he had always given you. But now that you were gone, who knew if you'd ever see those crescent shaped eyes whenever the man smiled.
Seven days later
Seven days. You stayed laying on the bed unmotivated to move for seven days. You were surprised you were still alive being that you were a vampire who fed on human blood in order to survive. But with all the events happening, a part of you weren't that confused because you did had the royal blood.
However that didn't meant that you weren't thirsty and weak and you knew that if you were to ever escape Zero's place, you needed all the energy you could get. You needed to keep your strength.
"Zero?" You called with a soft tone, tired of crying and yelling as you walked over towards the closed door. "I'm thirsty." You pressed a hand over the door in hopes that he had heard you.
Even if he had, though, why were you thinking that he would care about you and listen to your request?
The door did opened, however, revealing a smug looking Zero.
"I was wondering how long you'd last," he smirked. "Look at you," the demon laughed as a hand went to grab your neck and you were convinced he was going to choke you. "You look so vulnerable, my darling." Yet despite being convinced that he'd hurt you again, this time you didn't resist. You felt too weak to resist and you knew that struggling will only allow him to hurt you some more.
Zero's brows raised at your unmoving body before he chuckled with amusement. "I'm impressed, you're much more obedient than Yuri." His face extremely close, Zero ghosted his lips upon yours.
You summoned up your last remaining strength to push him away. "Please, I'm thirsty." At that point, you didn't cared that you had to beg him, you were so thirsty and craving for human blood.
"Since you asked so nicely," he grabbed your hand, "let's get you some prey to feed on."
It was disgusting the way you were craving so much for human blood that every human Zero threw at you, you were ripping apart their necks. For some reason though, you couldn't help but laugh at the situation and was actually enjoying the moment unlike the first time you had timidly tried it when Hoseok gave you a human to feed on.
But now there wasn't just one but many others as you and Zero hunted for them. You didn't know what it was, whether the craziness was because you hadn't drank in a week or because you were becoming more of a monster—maybe both—but either way you felt so much stronger than you had ever felt.
"It's somewhat refreshing," you laughed in amusement as you sucked up more blood from the human Zero had thrown at you. "I feel so much more powerful."
"Alright, that's enough for now," he told you as he grabbed the human from you and threw him away causing you to look at it with a pout. Zero chuckled at your look, reaching out his hand to wipe away the blood dripping from your mouth. "I'll let you feed later," he promised. "First I need to train you."
You tilted your head. "Train me?"
Zero nodded. "If we're going to rule the world together, you need to learn how to fight."
In your dreams, you mentally rolled your eyes about the fact that you and him would rule the world. But you decided not to trigger his feelings because you needed to train both so that you could fight him and because a girl like you needed it to defend yourself if no one else was going to.
So you just nodded at his idea without complaining or making a scene. Satisfied, Zero took your hand in his as he led you away someplace you weren't so sure about and a feeling of gloom bubbled in your stomach as you watched the tight grip of Zero's hand on yours.
You thought of Jungkook and the way he had held your hands during that small session in your minds. You were happy at that moment. It gave you a tingling feeling, producing sparks to explode into beautiful bright yellow lights, a feeling you knew you could only feel if Jungkook was around. Yet that happiness would fade as quick as it had appeared into thin air. Because you knew.
Jungkook will never feel the same way about you.
And as much as you hated to admit it, you wanted him to like you. After all, he was the person you were bonded to. And the fact that you were his second person crushed you but you couldn't imagine the feelings Jungkook was feeling.
You knew he was confused, conflicted with the way the universe had decided to hurt him internally by giving him someone else to be bonded to when his first one was...
You didn't know the answer to that but it was obvious his soulmate may had died or else why would he be given a second soulmate? There was no way for the universe to make a mistake and give him the wrong person to be bonded to, you just knew. Because with the way Jungkook looked when you had asked him if his soulmate had died, it killed you inside as you felt how he was feeling.
He lost someone so dear to him and was given another person, someone he didn't wanted. You couldn't blame the fact that he of course despised you yet it still confused you as to why he had hated you even before the two of you found out that you had been bonded. Whatever his reason was, you didn't wanted to push it.
After all, that was his story to tell. Whether he wanted to or not.
And as you stare at the hand that held yours, you could feel nothing but emptiness and insincerity (and coldness). Zero was keeping you alive this time only because he was power hungry, hungry for the royal blood and not caring about you at all.
But for now, you were going to play his games.
