Drip.
Drip.
Drip.
Other than the sound of the pouring rain, there was nothing else you could hear.
You laid lifelessly on the empty bed that seemed way too foreign to your eyes, your stained wet eyes that had been crying for more than three days now.
Just as Zero had promised, he was starving you for another week, leaving you at the room claimed to be yours. Who knew what other plans he had to torture you into committing to the relationship he wanted for you and him. You'd never turn to him. Ever.
Not after what he had done.
Never.
What dumb voice had told him killing a girl's parent will make them turn to bow at his feet and give him their heart?
Certainly someone as stupid and arrogant as the ice demon himself.
And he certainly ruined it.
You didn't cared whether the man's next plan was to force you into the sun or not. At least then you'd see the sun one last time. Being stuck in the dark was beginning to get boring.
Maybe that was what he did to Yuri.
He probably gave her a good reason to have her obligating under the sun and you could tell he was good at that because at the moment, you really did felt like dying.
It didn't mattered whether you were immortal, a vampire who had special abilities, what would be your point in living if Zero was going to kill everyone you loved?
He was probably out looking for the guys as you're lying there.
And then,
Click.
The door of your room opened but you couldn't care less about who had just barged in. Looking at Zero would only infuriate you more, you wanted to kill that baster.
"Y/N."
But it wasn't Zero.
It was the one friend you thought you had during your stay at Zero's house. And she still was, you were just upset that she hadn't been doing anything.
Not that you could really blame her, you saw it yourself what Zero was capable of, even his sister would never be able to stop him.
"Gosh, it took me so long to finally figure out how to break that spell of his without him knowing I broke in and—"
Hani paused at the sight of your distraught, broken face. To her, you knew you were looking even more dead than the vampire you were. After all, you were dying of thirst and Zero had literally just killed your parents five days ago.
"I'm so sorry."
At the sight of her tears and cracking voice, you could only shake your head, not wanting to cry anymore because you knew the sight of your best friend's tears would only break you more.
It wasn't her fault and you knew that more than anyone.
And as you got up far too quickly for your body to catch up, the floor swayed under your feet but Hani was there to hold you, helping you to sit back on the empty bed.
"Zero's out and will probably not come back until a few days but still I don't want to waste and time when I've already managed to break in," your best friend informed, your head resting on her shoulder for support.
"Get to the point," you pleaded, voicing weakly to her.
Maybe she'd let you out and feed you? At least that'd be more complicated than—
