You could feel it, building like the unstoppable snowball falling from a hill in the pits of your stomach. Jimin's name came tumbling from your mouth so loud you could barely even hear anything as your ears became deaf at the sight in front of you. You swore you could hear your own dead heart beating harder and faster as the adrenaline level rose.
You ran so fast to reach for him, gripping onto his body and risking the danger of your own self just to steal him away from the burning sun that gave a silent kiss of taking Jimin away from you. Jimin collapsed in your arms the second you brought him back into the home of the darkness, skin slowly beginning to peel away while you prayed so hard in the hopes of not being too late.
He said no words as your throat clogged up, the screams wanting to leave yet only silence accompanied the deafening room.
At the sound of Zero's scoff, your head was so quick to snap up you swore something could have broke.
The anger boiling your body was only an understatement when you laid Jimin down as you got up, taking the seraph blade in the hand that hadn't gotten exposed to the sunlight. You didn't know whether the heat you gave off came from the consequences of being under the sun or from your anger. Maybe it was both.
And as you stared down at Zero who stood there not blinking an eye, you were blinded by a five-course serving of rage that tasted bitter, yet surprisingly satisfying. The grip on the sword was so tight your hand was trembling.
You didn't walk over to him like a predator stalking his prey, waiting for the right moment to attack. Because at that moment as you flew over with your vampire powers making you run like the flash, you were incapable of thinking straight. The only thing that rushed your thoughts were to end him. Kill. Kill. Kill.
The blade flew at all sides, shining into that part of darkness where sunlight couldn't reach.
But you couldn't hurt him when he was capable of so many things and you were still an amateur in your powers. As much as you wanted to say that your anger suddenly caused you to become so powerful, you couldn't.
The demon disappeared just as the blade was about to strike him and frustration hit you harder than ever.
"Stop being a freaking coward!!"
You voice rang into the room, voice filled with rage as you ran to go after Zero yet still careful to not step on any of the guys he had already wrecked. The tears tickled your chin yet you paid no mind to the waterfall.
If you had to go on living without your best friend, then you'd have to kill Zero.
You hadn't realized when or how Hani had escaped from being trapped against the wall but judging by the chains still wrapped around her wrist, you figured the strong girl managed to pull the chains out of the wall.
Being free allowed her to lung right at Zero, whipping the chains she had at Zero's body so that she could trap him. It wrapped around his body and you took that chance to swing the blade to plunge it right into his chest.
But the blade only stabbed straight threw as Zero transported himself once again.
"Come out and face me like a man!" You demanded, facing back to back with Hani who had anger building up as well because Jimin was more precious to her than her brother ever was.
The emptiness stood for so long you began to wonder if Zero was ever going to show up from the shadows, setting an even more madness within you.
The hand that had been exposed to the sunlight was beginning to burn you yet you disregarded the pain, your mind only set on dealing with Zero.
