The town lit up
As an explosion racked the night
The jail building was all ablaze
We ran into the street
Figures staggering around in a daze
The bucket brigade was on the job
Myna and Lorne were there
Directing the mob
Billy staggered up the street
AJ and the Doc in his arms
Then he fell at Lou's feet
Hoping to help I ran to give aid
And as the church bell clanged
I heard what AJ said
Where the heck was Bruce
And what happened to Tex Mex
Did he die or escape the noose
I hoped he did expire
But that would have to wait
Had to help put out a fire
