Brody wasn't sure what to do
He still hadn't turned up Buck or Lou
Shamus disappeared, he did not know where
Until he found him talking to the Redhead
With the come hither stare.
Why did things have to be
Met with such complexity?
Why can't it be...boy meets girl
A love between them soon unfurls?
Instead its torture to the highest degree.
Why did he ever come to BG?
Lou the answer echo'd
Though she was out of sight.
How long does a man carry a torch,
Through the darkest of night?
He knew Lou loved him
Or she did once upon a time
But now following her around
Seemed to have no reason or rhyme.
Yet would he better off moving on
To a someone whose heart is already gone.
Annie loves Bruce, and Shamus or both
Brody looked away and swore an oath.
I am not going to play the fool
No more, no how.
If Lou or Annie want me
Well... they'll have to come to ME now.
No more chasin',
Beggin' for more.
I've had enough of my heart
Being slammed by the door.
Always on the outside
Looking in.
No, if they want me
They know where I am.
Annie turns and smiles at me,
