Aftermath

Tex Mex was dead

No more to be said

No other fatality

That we could see

Bruce was still in doubt

Not yet up and about

Those who 'knew' Billy

Didn't ask - it was silly

Clean up had started

Wagons of rubble departed

The men arrived strong willed

The task a jail to rebuild

Unger and Bellows came that day

BuckBuchanan and newcomer

Solomon Ray

Told Pastor Stein, don't be upset

The church'll get new roof yet

Muffins arrived with lemonade

Energy food all freshly made

3Gun appeared as if by magic

To miss out would have been tragic

Dirt and clay, straw and sand

Adobe bricks were made by hand

When all went as planned

The new jail would be grand

Meanwhile a race was heating

Little groups all were meeting

Dreamin' up slogans and promises fair

Makin' plans for the town's new mayor

Lorne Order was first of course

Then Dixie Land a dark horse

And a surprising bureaucrat

Will Barter tossed in his hat

3Gun gave them all a speech

About how the rules applied to each

But there better be truth in what they say

Or by gum there'd be hell to pay
