CM dropped off Lou
went out back to lick jam,
Lou walked in and took a seat
I bucked up to tell about the scam.
"Shamus slithered by to see me
Sickly Slimy as can be
He reckoned I would help him
If he agreed to help set me free.
He wants you back
he's schemin' and resortin'
but I downed his plan, I wouldn't help
him in his courtin'."
Lou sat there sayin' nothin'
but she spoke with her eyes
was it sadness or was it anger
at all the men and their lies?
"Lou I need your help
and you need a break.
You're the only who can
this job under take.
I would have snuck out
if not for Marshal and the Deputy,
then there's the Sheriff
who'd be sure to come arrest me.
I think I am under town arrest
what a hopeless situation!"
She took the letter I held out
with a wicked grin.
"His name's Leo Write
he's in County Seat
he'll do the work
real discreet.
Got you some vittles and muffins
and some amno as well
if Bruce gives you trouble
then you give him hell.
In three days flat
you should be back
without a hitch
and no setbacks."
