Lou had gone and just cut me strings

Didn't believe in my feelings.

Can't quite say I blame her there

But to treat them with so little care.

First time I feared she might be lost

Wanted her back at any cost

Do I deserve her

Of course I don't

Will that stop me

Of course it won't

Seeing her all cuddled with Bruce

Set the jealousy monster loose.

If she's shacking up with the twins

Well this where the war begins

I took the paper she threw at me

And went to the forge so I could see

Buck and what he'd have to say

To me working there,  simple...

"No way!"

Then Hugh said something about his wife

Blah, blah, blah heard it all twice.

It's just me lot in life

Can't say I wished to work there anyway

Wouldn't have asked if Lou didn't say

I let Maggie know Lou was mine

It was only a matter of time.

He brought up the papers,

the fact that were signed.

I was about to walk away

But the "J" monster had something to say.

"Did you know she slept with your twin

Caught them in bed all cozy like just this morin'

The way I see it should I lose Lou

It's more like to be to him not you."

Buck acted as if this didn't worry him at all.

Wondered was it the truth or just a stall.

"Have ya not the sense to worry about the Skirt

Every woman he's with he inevitably hurts?"

Buck said that he knew

Bruce left with Lou

And if something happened

That was between them two.

The monster inside wanted to rage.

But I tipped my hat, decided to walk away.

I told Lou what was in my heart

Time to stop talking and take me part.

The "J" monster could only stare...

"She loves him and he doesn't even care?

If you ask me, he's used her to get his brother free."

The words came flying out

"You care that little for, Lou?

Knowing what your brother will do.

Did you use her to set him free?

Because that's how it looks to me."

"Of course I care about Lou.

If Bruce were to run that's on him

Bail doesn't set him free.

It's only temporary."

"Are you really that naïve?

Is that really what you believe?

Lou must have paid I high price indeed

And I don't mean financially."

"Not financially what do you mean by that?"

Buck wondered what Shamus was holding back.

"You're brother wanted in more than 3 counties

You give the judge an Ironclad case

And you expect he would just set him free?

When he knows he's at risk to flee?"

"What aren't you telling me?"

"I don't know the deal she made

Only how Lou can persuade

She had to have made some sort of deal

To get Bruce free, is what I feel.

I'll not have her go down for ya

Or yer blasted twin."

Buck got angry, "You're wastin my time."

And started hammerin.

"Wastin' yer time! Yer unbelievable.

Why she loves ya, it's inconceivable?"

Well I won't take up anymore of yer precious time!"

I left it alone, this time.

I'd find a job elsewhere

I'll show Lou how much I care.
