John's POV
Some movement interrupted me from continuing to sleep. I opened my eyes and looked around my cabin- everyone else was asleep. I sat up and stretched my arms towards the sky (hahah some Blow Us All Away reference) and fell back on the mattress. I stayed awake for a couple of more minutes before I couldn't take it any longer and decided to go to the stripper lake.
Yeah, the stripper lake. After the time me and the Schuylers (except Peggy) has to strip in the lake, we called it that. Ah, memories.
I put on my swim trunks and sandals with my towel and I ran towards their cabin. I peeked through the window and saw the girls in their bed- Angelica and Maria asleep, Peggy and Eliza awake. I knocked on the window and Peggy ran to the door as soon as she saw it was me.
"John!" She squealed, hugging me.
I hugged her back and peered through as Eliza smiled and waved at me.
"I'm going to the lake, you guys in?" I asked.
Peggy nodded and ran towards her clothes to get her swimsuit. Eliza politely declined.
"No thanks, I'll wait for Angie and Maria." Eliza said.
"You wish you could come with us cool kids." Peggy chuckled, wrapping her towel around her neck.
"I just got put in the infirmary because I got beat up by Charles Fuck. I ain't cool." I said, grabbing Peggy and walking off.
We made it to the lake and jumped right in, splashing eachother and swimming around. We talked about our current problems and smack about people who walked by- if they were bad people. At some point we tried to braid eachother's hair and continued to swim around.
Right now, we were on out backs floating in the water talking.
"Laf is just so perfect," Peggy sighed, "He's sweet and tall and knows what you're feeling in a second. SO reliant, I want to keep him forever."
"Same with Alex." I argued, yet agreed. "You can't just leave him. He's too much for that. He's so smart and creative, and so down to earth."
Peggy swam over to me and laid floating again. "I think we found our perfect partners."
"Yeah, I guess we did." I smiled.
We just stared at the sky until we heard someone calling our names. We made our way towards the shore and saw Angie.
"Yo guys, you missed breakfast!" Angie called.
"wHAT?!" We both sprinted to our towels to dry ourselves out and slapped Angie.
"Yeah, sorry, we forgot about you guys."
"Did you guys forget, or did everyone worry and you said we were coming later?"
"Maybe."
Me and Peggy got out hair and squeezed the water on Angie as she shrieked at the water on her.
"This was new! You're dead!" She screamed, running away.
Me and Peggy high -fived and dried ourselves some more. We went in our cabins and changed into some clothes to go out in. As I walked out of my cabin and opened the door, Alex stood there.
"Woah, what took you so long?!" He said in a panic, tackling me in a hug.
"I went swimming with Peggy, relax baby boy." I muttered.
He made me swear to never sneak off again, and we went to where everyone else was. The rest of the Revolutionaries were there. We sat down and Washington cleared his throat.
"Okay, students. Today we're going to go hiking up Mount Vernon (I'm on a roll today), so please be careful and don't kill yourselves. Lee, this one's for you."
We cheered and flipped off Charles Fuck and everyone else associated with him. They looked like they wanted to fight us, but they can't because we're clearly better. Well, Washington at least says that.
"Everyone get in your groups and follow me. No one will get sidetracked. If you do, you clean the cafeteria."
Everyone 'oh'ed at whoever that would be said to later on. We eventually got into our groups and headed the mountain. I started talking to James, since Alex was admiring around.
"So, have you ever done hiking?" I asked James.
"I was going to once, but I think I coughed before we went up to my overprotective parents thought I was sick and we didn't go." He said.
"That's too bad. I haven't done this either, so this should be fun. Hope we don't fall off the cliff and find the stairway to heaven."
James snickered and shoved me playfully, and I shoved him back. He was a really cool bud.
"Have you ever gone camping, Lexi?" I told Alex.
"Well, if it counts when I ran from the hurricane back home, sure, but literally, no." He replied.
I nodded and walked along the path. Peggy was trying to jump on Laf's back since he was hesitant on carrying her, Eliza and Maria were talking, and so were Herc and Angie. They seemed to be talking to eachother more, that's a good thing. Maybe they like eachother.
