Alex's POV

That night...

"Love meee."

I️ listened as John tried to catch my attention. I️ couldn't distract myself. I️ stayed typing on my computer until I️ have no idea how long. I️f I️ wanted to beat Thomas's ass in our debate in a week, I️ needed to make sure my speech was perfection!

I just huffed in response, continuing to type. I️ had no time for distractions.

"Fine," I heard John said, "I'll just hang out with Peggy."

I stayed typing as John got his shit together, and told me something before he let.

"Are you gonna stay in my dorm?" He asked.

"Yeah, so get used to it." I️ responded, still typing away.

I looked up to see him chuckle and leave, going to the Schuyler dorm. I️ stayed on the bed, continuing my speech. Jefferson was gonna get what's coming to him.

That morning...

I didn't forget to sleep.

Okay, maybe I didn't sleep for a few hours.

Okay, so maybe I didn't sleep at all.

I was 4 in the morning, when I get a call from Peggy. I reluctantly pick it up, annoyed that I'm not typing right now.

"Hello?" I asked.

"Alex come pick up John he fell asleep when we were watching Stranger Things 2 and we all fell asleep but now its 4 am help me."

Frick. I didn't even realize he didn't come back.

"Why don't you just.. wake him up?"

"Because one, i'd feel bad, and two, you have to be a responsible boyfriend. Now come."

I sighed and hung up. I had to go.

When I made it to Peggy's place, the door was already open. I came in and saw , sure enough, John, Eliza, and Angelica were spread out on the couch, passed out. I picked up John in my arms carefully (even if it was hard to because he already outgrew me by 2 inches), and walked out with him still asleep.

Back at my dorm. I was exhausted, but I had to work on my speech somehow. John's head was on my lap, and he was still asleep, his hands around my torso, being his cute self. I was typing away, when suddenly, my mind went blank and I threw a pillow across my room in frustration, knocking a few papers and pens onto the ground.

"Alleeexxxx..." John yawned, waking up from the noise, but his eyes were still closed.

"What baby?" I asked, looking at him.

"Come sleeeeeeeeep."

"No."

I witnessed him smack my computer onto the ground, rolling over, smiling tiredly.

"Come. Now."

I flopped beside him, ruffling his silky hair as he fell back asleep. I cuddled against him, kissing his arm as I slowly drifted off to sleep.
