John's POV
I woke myself up early so I could see if Herc was drinking again. Of course, he wouldn't be because he would be passed out, but just making sure.
I uncovered myself and walked to Herc's room. Sure enough, he was collapsed on the bed. The only thing I really see is revenge.
I got his bookbag and launched it at him. He immediately woke up.
"Rise and shine, Hercules! We're meeting James early, so get ready!" I screamed, chuckling as I left.
Revenge was sweet.
"FUCK YOU JOHN!" Herc screamed.
I heard him shuffle out of his bed and go to the bathroom.
After five minutes, I grabbed my bag and began to head out the door. I guess Herc heard me open the door.
"DON'T YOU DARE LEAVE ME JOHN!" Herc screamed. I heard him slam his door shut.
I smirked. "I'LL LEAVE IN ONE-"
Footsteps.
"TWO-"
Faster and approaching footsteps.
"THREE!"
Herc tripped on his way across the hall, but managed to sustain himself and bolted out the door. I began to laugh and followed him, closing the door.
We reached the cafeteria outside, sweaty and panting. Everyone was either there or across the street walking there.
"Why did you guys run here?" Peggy asked.
"Gotta get that adrenaline pumping." I gasped, still tired from running.
"John also made me leave in 3 seconds." Herc panted and slapped my back.
He made his beanie cover all his hair this time because he didn't have time to brush his hair.
Everyone started laughing, including me. Herc stayed being salty.
After a few minutes, Alex and Laf arrived with James, nervously between them.
"Hey Alex!" I waved excitedly.
"Hey John." Alex hugged me, even though I was kinda sweaty. I kissed his cheek and pushed away.
"I SHIP-" Peggy and Laf screamed. Alex threw his textbook in his hand at them, both blocking them with their arms.
"Hey James! You came!" Angie said, resting an arm on James.
"Hi." James muttered.
"Thanks for everything you did for us yesterday. We really needed it." Eliza moved herself a bit closer to James, Maria behind her.
"I-It's no problem, I just thought it was a bit u-unfair how he treated you." James mumbled.
"Are you the Evan Hansen on this college?" Laf asked.
"Shut up, Laf!" Peggy slapped his arm.
"N-no, it's fine. I know what he means. I like Dear Evan Hansen." James replied.
Laf hugged him quickly. "FINALLY, SOMEONE UNDERSTANDS ME!"
James smiled shyly.
"So, why do you even hang out with Thomas?" I asked, "He's such a jerk!"
"W-Well, he kinda makes me feel safe in a way, but not everyone else. He's is mean, I agree."
"You mean a PUS-" Angie covered Herc's mouth.
"Yeah, that." James agreed.
The bell rung and we all rushed to class together, James stayed behind so Thomas wouldn't catch him.
