Laf's POV

It's been 2 weeks since we got back from the camping trip, and a lot has happened.

For example, Herc and Angie are now a thing! It's unbelievable how those who cannot desperate themselves from each other.

We even go on double dates, me, with mon amour Peggy of course.

I've been teaching Peggy French, and she's been getting better at it! Je aime mon Peggy!

Johnny and Eliza are also hanging out more and more, but hey haven't been since with their partners more often. It was a real shame- Peggy and I ship Lams and Marliza.

Im currently im, how you say, a diner with Herc and Angie. We're still coming up with a ship name so it's all right.

"I'm so glad you guys could come today." Angie smiled, her Pink Ladies jacket shining.

"Me too. I have a big test tomorrow, but I'm sure a break is needed." Peggy shrugged, giggling.

"Peggy, mon amour, you never study." I said.

"And yet I pass."

Everyone laughed and we were hanged out menus. Herc put an arm around Angie, both adorably looking at the same menu. I scooter closer to Peggy, putting my menu down and looking at hers and putting my hand over hers that was holding the menu.

"What do you want?" I asked.

"Chicken tender with fríes." She spoke.

"You don't want something else?"

"Nope. I want chicken tenders and fries."

Thats my Peggy. A child at heart.

"So, guys," Peggy said, putting down the menu, "we never found out how you guys got together. Mind telling us?"

Herc and Angie looked at each other and snickered, putting down their menus as well.

"Well, this was way before the camping trip. We were at home, dri-talking, and we just kissed."

"So you were dating?" I asked.

"No, we weren't dating, but we did like each other."

"And you didn't do anything about it?!" Peggy screamed. People looked at her for a couple of seconds and then looked away, Herc, Angie, and I trying to contain our laughter.

"No, we didn't." Herc chuckled.

"You guys should have done it." I said.

"Yeah... maybe."

We kept talking and the subject got changed to school and all that. We got our food and joked around, until the check game and we paid. As we were all leaving, Herc pulled me back as Angie and Peggy went on ahead.

"Whats up Herc?" I asked as he started to slow down and look at his feet while we walked.

"I need to confess to you something, and promise not to freak out."

"I won't freak out."

"I used to like you."

I almost stopped dead in my tracks before I remembered to keep moving.

"What did you say? Repeat, si vous plait?"

"I used to like you. I mean, more than a friend. I wanted us to be a couple."

I stayed quiet for a couple of minutes, and then it hit me. He always did seem to be surprisingly nice to me, and acted sweeter than the others. Of course that doesn't mean he isn't sweet, but it's just...

Different.

"Why didn't you say anything?"

Herc chuckled, but it wasn't his usual chuckle. "Do you really think it would be cool if I just outed my crush out of nowhere? And not to mention the sexuality? No. It was better to be quiet about it."

I nodded, but then had another question on my mind.

"Wait a minute... sexuality. What you are?"

"Pan. Always have been, really, but it was mostly girls. Sure, a few guys here and there, but then I met you."

Wow. This was a lot to take in. Mon amie- Herc- liking.

"I'm sorry for not seeing it before, I can't imagine the pain you went through."

"It's not your fault. Either way, you should never apologize for not liking someone back- its not your purpose to force yourself to have feelings for someone else." (TRUTH)

"Thanks for undertaking, my good friend." I smiled, giving him a friendly fist-pump.

"It's all right. And hey, later I'll tell you how I actually began to like Angie."

"You mean you lied? To your best friend?!"

We laughed and walked on ahead to catch up with the girls.

"What happened back there, slow pokes?" Angie asked.

"Nothing." Me and Herc responded, chuckling.
