Maria's POV

I didn't mean to hurt anyone, I mean, not in that way at least.

I never would have thought that one day I would be laying in bed, engaged in one of those pleasureful moments with Alexander Hamilton out of all people.

However, I must say, he had always been a person of divine from my perspective- dashing features and with such intelligence of all things known and unknown. He had always triggered my sense for some off reason.

But then came the question- what about Eliza?

I loved Eliza more than Alexander, after all. She was always so beautiful and just, wanting what was right for everyone no matter the circumstance. She always smiled in delight and it radiated off of everyone, with her dimples showing off and her eyes twinkling in whatever setting.

How would I be telling her of this?

Or would I even want to tell her?

Only two people know of this as far as I know- Alexander, and Johnathon. I didn't mean to hurt John, and yes, I'm saying John. He was always such a sweet person like Eliza, but he was different for one thing- his strength. Eliza could be damaged easily, but she doesn't let anyone see it. John could take a toll, but if you find the right cracks- then he could tumble over and crash.

And I did not ever expect to be the reason he crashes.

As I left the cabin, I made sure to keep my distance from Alexander. I had no intentions of being near him again. As I walking back to my cabin, I heard John's broken voice as he excused himself from our group. I felt my heart shatter.

What if he never forgave me?

What if he was going to tell everyone, and I would have no one?

What if he told Eliza?

I shook my head from my thoughts. I would be the one to tell Eliza. Even if I never want to speak of this again and forget this ever happened, I know it's not that simple. If I want my relationship with her to work, I need to be honestly.

Suddenly, I felt someone's arms around my waist. I gasped in surprise, but then looked to my left and forced a smile.

Eliza.

"Hey Maria! You wanna snuggle under a blanket together? It's a bit cold outside." She smiled, her wet hair from her shower wet, yet smelling like coconut. She had a blue nightgown on, with sandals.

"Of course baby! I would love nothing more than to get an excuse to be closer to you." I wrapped an arm around her.

Eliza giggled kissed my cheek, leading me a bit faster to our cabin. I followed her willingly, not wanting to waste another moment without her.

Once we made it inside, I got a spot for us as she began getting a fluffy blanket. I spotted Alexander, sitting cross-legged, looking down at the wooden floorboard with a blank expression. I sat on the opposite side and the moment I sat Eliza tumbled beside me and threw the blanket over us and cuddled with me under it.

"Wooah, already having some love birds making their move in here!" Angelica joked, rolling her eyes playfully.

Margarita and Lafayette followed the comment with making kissing noises, and Hercules whistling.

"Ha ha, very mature you guys." I deadpanned, kissing Eliza's forehead and playing with her washed hair as she and I turned pink.

Margarita ran over to Lafayette and hopped into his lap. He immediately wrapped his arms around her protectively and rested his chin on the top of her head.

"Alright everyone, would you rather?" James asked, playing with his thumbs.

"Yeah sure, why not?" Alexander said, shrugging.

"YES! A MILLION TIMES YES!" Margarita screamed.

"Mon ami, why so passionate?" Lafayette asked.

"Because she like to ask all the-"

"BECAUSE I LIKE TO ASK ALL THE INAPPROPRIATE QUESTIONS!" Margarita interrupted Angelica and rubbed her hands together.

"Everyone better watch out, she's coming for each and every one of us!" Hercules fake squealed and hid behind Angelica as a joke.

"Alright, I'll start." Alexander said, and cleared his throat once his eyes made contact with everyone. "Herc, would you rather be working at a McDonalds or a Burger King?"

"Easy, McDonalds."

"BULLSHIT," Alex yelled, "I SAW YOU EATING BURGER KING A MONTH AGO!"

"YEAH, BECAUSE THERE WASN'T A MCDONALDS NEARBY!"

"WILL YOU GUYS SHUT UP?!" Angelica yelled.

Everyone stayed quiet and Hercules and Alexander stopped arguing.

"Next person." She said, as if it never happened.

The rest of the night was fun, least to say. Margarita really did have a lot to say about some topics, and nobody wanted to be on the receiving end of it. Halfway through, Alexander claimed he was tired and went back to his cabin. Everyone told him goodnight as he walked off.

Good luck with Johnathon, I thought.

During the end, Eliza dozed off against my chest, her soft and peaceful expression distracting me from the game. Son after her, many people began to say their goodbyes and leave to their bunks.
