Kihara Fuyumi POV

Takashi and I were on our way to Edo when we stopped by at some local inns to rest, we heard that there was also on going wars between the human countries so it isn't just the inside of the country but outside as well, the food that the inns had offered were very delicious I even wrote down and studied there cuisines, we met a dying old woman who was running a medicine shop at Nakatsugawa, we helped her do chores for her house in return for staying a night in her house.

“Don’t you have any kids or grandkids Obasan?” I asked cutting the vegetables

“My children has since long forgotten me, they’ve moved on with their lives without me” she says having a weak smile on her aged face “You remind me of my daughter Fuyumi-chan” she tells me “She was also very fierce yet beautiful not just on the outside appearance in the inside as well” I looked away and slide the vegetables to the boiling pot.

“I’m not really beautiful Obasan” I told her

“You are a very humble young women.” She chuckles “Your beauty is out of this world so to speak” I stop cutting the vegetables and looked over at her “Be careful on who you will trust and love Fuyumi-chan, I have something for you as well as the young man” I stopped and waved my hands

“No it’s fine Obasan” she shakes her head, walks at her drawer and pulls out something, she then proceeds to head our way

“This is for you, a key chain and good-luck charm, it is to thank you for my last meal…” she says with a sad and yet happy smile, she also gives Takashi a charm.

“Takashi” I called out, after praying for granny “Let’s go” I said we buried granny at her backyard and cleaned her house after she passed away carefully tidying the equipment, he bows at granny’s grave to give his respects then follows after me.
We arrived at Edo shortly after and met Chizuru Yukimura.

But the words that granny said to me stayed in my mind, you will make the perfect bride someday, you will make any husband proud to have you.

I hope so…
