Chapter 7: Ikedaya Inn

Kihara Fuyumi POV

I woke up very early in the morning ecstatic that Taro is here in the Shinsengumi headquarters.

"Good Morning Fuyumi-chan" I heard Chizuru greet still looking sleepy

"Good Morning Chizuru" I said Cheerfully greeting her "You should get up now, we're going to bathe earlier than usual to start the day fresh" I beckoned her, she nods and stands up getting her towel, I then grabbed her hand and we ran through the hall still in our night gowns, No one was still around all of them were still fast asleep so I wasn't really worried that someone would spot us, we arrived at the bath's with no problem at all, we took our clothes off and started bathing, we usually bathe at night when everyone is asleep as well so it's still the same.

"Let me wash your back Chizuru" I offered, she nods turning around I scrubbed her back thoroughly, she says that she should scrub my back as well so I let her

"Your skin really is so soft, Fuyumi-Chan" She informs me.

"Really?" I asked, she hummed in response, we rinse all the soap on us afterwards we dried ourselves wrapping the towels on our body.

We're going to run like the wind Chizuru, It's not like at night that we wouldn't really be caring that anyone sees us since all of them are sleeping but right now there's a chance they're waking up now" I told her "Are you ready?" I asked smiling at her

"Y-Yes" She says, I went to her and secured the towel wrapped around her body

"We wouldn't want your towel suddenly coming off of you now" I laughed she blushes looking down, satisfied that it's secured I opened the door slightly looking around, the sun is already rising and the other captains of the Shinsengumi would probably be waking up now "All right Chizuru, take my hand" I said reaching out she grabs my hand and I held it tightly "Ready?" I asked her she nods and we ran through the hall again, Nobody saw us but the others are already waking up, Hijikata's room was slightly opened signifying that his awake already, he wouldn't really notice us since we were really running like the wind. When we arrived in our room Chizuru was out of breath "Are you okay Chizuru?" I said with concern, she nods and smiled at me looks like she enjoyed our little run.

"Having..." She started while I began taking my towel off, putting clothes on already "Having both of us run like that was pretty exciting" She beamed "And it looks like I'm out of shape, I just realized it until now" She says her breathing normal again

"I doubt that" I said putting on my wrist guard.

"Huh?" She gave a quizzical look at me

"You're not out of shape you just need a little exercise" I looked her up and down she was still in good shape. "I need to get going, I need to visit and take care of Taro" I said already tying my hair up

I left Chizuru in our room she was still dressing herself up, I passed by Hijikata and Saito which I greeted good morning I also greeted the others that woke up good morning passing by them, When I arrived at the stable I immediately went to Taro

"Good Morning Taro!" I happily greet, he greets me as well coming close to me, I went to work and brushed him and fed him I also brushed the other horses and fed them.

"Kihara-san?" I heard someone behind me "What are you doing here?" It was Yamanaki

"Oh Yamanaki" He gave an annoyed look at me

"Y-A-M-A-Z-A-K-I" he corrected

"Good Morning, Are you the one who's on stable duty?" I asked completely ignoring his correction

"Well yes but you've already did most of the work so there isn't much to do anymore" He looks around "That reminds me, aren't you supposed to be on kitchen duty with Yukimura-kun?" He asked
