EXTRA CHAPTER: The Cleanup

Okita Souji POV

I was paired up with Saito since Furies escaped the compound again, we heard a scream from the back alley way, our search will be much easier since a scream signifies that they’re someone being attack Hajime-kun and I rounded up a corner when he suddenly stop

“What’s wrong Hajime-kun?” I questioned, he puts his index finger on his lips having a serious expression on his face I peered to see the furies feasting on the bodies they’ve killed, but to my surprise someone came out of hiding I wasn’t sure if it was a boy or a girl but it seems they’re already holding a weapon to attack, when the Furies lunge forward he/she passed through without being unscathed analyzing the scene in front of me a silver thread is binding the furies he/she actually she turned around and pulled what seems to be a Tessen my eyes widen when the furies body parts were severed clean off from its body blood splattered from her clothes and on the walls of the alley “Oh…?” I quietly said “Never seen a girl kill someone before” I commented

“She’s not a normal girl it seems…” Hajime-kun says as well.

“Chizuru you can come out” she calls out someone emerges from hiding and looked shocked to see her friend covered in blood, I narrowed my eyes carefully looking at the other one that just came out it’s a girl as well.

“This is interesting” I said my lips curving up into a smile

“Y-You killed those men?” The girl named Chizuru questioned looking terrified at the girl dressed in red

“This world only revolves on two things, it’s either Kill or Be Killed Chizuru” that remark sounded like Hijikata for a moment. A strong wind blew in their direction and it seems that she noticed us she was looking directly at where we are “You can also come out of hiding as well” she called out

“We’ve been caught red handed Hajime-kun” I emerged from the corner crossing my arms looking straight at them.

“O-Oi! Souji!” I heard Hajime-kun sigh he reveals himself as well.

“You’re a perceptive one aren’t you?” I remarked my lips curved into a smirk “Too bad it was finish before it started right Saito? And I wanted to get in on the action” I told them, I was excited to battle this girl looking back on how she fought earlier I can tell she’s proficient in fighting, I noticed Hajime-kun preparing to attack her as well, he also wants to fight her, her eyes travel on our Haori she isn’t just proficient in fighting it looks like she's smart as well. “Too bad that you saw things you weren’t supposed to see” she gripped her Tessen tightly looking annoyed at me, She’s very pretty having a good look at her, the moon is reflecting her beauty, but I’m actually more interested at the expression on her face, wind blew in our direction the girl behind her is looking at her with concern, when the wind toned down Hajime-kun attacked her but to both our surprise she deflected and disarmed him at the same time I knew at that moment Hajime-kun’s ass was in danger.

“Shit…!” She took the opportunity to wrap the thread around Hajime-kun’s neck she was about to pull her Tessen when I cut the thread in the nick of time she kicks Hajime-kun on the ground, her expression reads that she’s very intent on killing us.

“Tch” she clicked her tongue in frustration glaring at me, her demeanor really is close to Hijikata-san

“That was too close for comfort Hajime-kun” I told him with a mocking tone in my voice, he was still recovering from the shock earlier, I pointed my sword at her, she puts her Battle fan away and unsheathes her sword “Oh? Getting serious now are we?” I said excitement in my eyes, she glances to her companion a troubled look on her face “But this ends now!” I attacked her with speed and strength she easily dodges and blocks my attack but the look on her face says she’s wearing out “What’s wrong? Are you tired already?” I said with insult in the tone of my voice “Don’t tell me it was just pure luck that you manage to caught Hajime-kun with that string of yours?” I laughed, she glares at me rage in her eyes she switched to defense to offense she suddenly gained speed in her attacks I was suddenly struggling to keep up with her, her moves were so fast that I almost got my arm cut off…good thing I blocked in time but she made a small cut on my arm blood already coming out from it, it was a small cut but pain already shot up from it, I didn’t notice that she was backing me in the corner I was so busy blocking her attack that I didn’t see that I was cornered her eyes shone death she was preparing for the finishing blow when…
