Since the incident at Shimabara the Shinsengumi placed a good amount of trust on us we weren't Under surveillance as much as before but we still can't leave the compound to our dismay, it was already afternoon Souji was outside on guard duty.
"They're Nice men deep down don't you think Fuyumi-chan?" She says turning around to look at me she was by the window where Souji was sitting outside. It's a little funny that she never noticed
"Hm" I hummed seemingly contemplating my answer, it's hard to say since they are killers and of course I'm not really excluding myself in that matter "I can't really say..." I was sharpening my weapons and cleaning them.
"Huh?" Chizuru looked at me curiously "You don't think that there nice men?" I laughed
"I never said that Chizuru" I said looking up at her "Why don't you ask one of them if there nice?" I told her, her face suddenly became red
"I-I can't ask them that...!" She protested "They would look at me strangely if I ask that" She looks away embarrassed
"Okita-san" I set my sword down and peered down outside the window "Are you guys nice?" I asked
"Eh...?" She looked surprised
"I don't know..." Souji says blankly looking up at me
"Y-You were there the whole time?!" Chizuru says her cheeks having a deep shade of red now "Y-You heard everything I said?!"

Okita smiles at her feigning ignorance "Why didn't you tell me Fuyumi-chan?!" She says looking betrayed I gave a bored look at her
"I thought you knew that his here" I said looking down at Souji again "They watch us on rotation, His on duty right now" Souji gave a curious look at me "And Saito is the next one" I said pointing at Saito at the Hallway carrying our food.
"Did you hear me as well Saito-san?" He nods, I went to my weapons again and finished cleaning and sharpening them-up
"It's time to eat" I heard Heisuke's voice down the Hall
"I'll finish my job and eat later" I heard Saito's voice reply
"You know. It's a little cold for Hijikata-san to let them stay in their rooms after they've helped us at Shimabara" I listened to them while putting my weapons away. "Since Hijikata-san is away we should let them eat with us" He suggested
"All right then" I heard Okita stand up "Since you're the one who suggested it" I put my sword back in its scabbard. "You carry it, now let's go" I heard him walk away.
DINING HALL
Chizuru and I were led by Souji, Saito and Heisuke opened the door to reveal an annoyed looking Nagakura
"You're late!" He says angrily looking at the three of them "What are you going to do about my stomach's grumbling?" His statement was pretty funny.
