Kusanagi Takashi POV
Ojōsama and I are headed towards Edo to visit Yukimura Chizuru, I have been with Ojōsama since she was little, I was the one who looked after her from the shadows but having her next to me was nerve wracking, although she knows that my presence is everywhere whenever she goes sadly I cannot be with her after she has arrived in Edo, I had strict orders to leave her when she arrives at the Yukimura residences since I needed to watch Yuriko-sama from now on…her father trust that she can take care of herself ‘since she is a very powerful Oni and she is also the Vice Commander of the Kihara Demon Army so she should be fine’ but I couldn’t help but worry as well since Female Oni’s are very precious it is only limited on how many female Oni’s are born in a family…the Kihara Clan is very lucky to have two Female Oni’s but despite that-
“Takashi!” my train of thought was stopped at the sudden voice who called me “Look! I caught a bunch of koi fishes!” I couldn’t take my eyes off of her, she rarely smiles at the Manor if she does she laughs at her brother and sister for doing something foolish but I never once saw her smiling out of enjoyment.
“Beautiful” I blurted out without thinking.
“I think so as well, the koi fishes are the prize there’s also one extra prize and I chose this lucky charm that has flower patterns on it.” I looked away embarrassed at what I said, my nerves were calmed down after realizing that she didn’t notice what I said “This so called festival is really fun! I want you to come with me in the next one Takashi!” She cheerfully tells me.
Ojōsama never really had the leisure for enjoyment since she always studies or commands the Kihara Army, the Kihara family household were very strict on her studies and training so she never got outside of the Manor or strolled around the town, seeing as though her eyes glimmer at the food and the scenery of this festival brings out a new color out from her.
“Of course Ojōsama” I said with reassurance.
I just hope after I leave you in Edo you would be safe and well…
Even though my love for you is unrequited seeing you smile and be with me even for a short time is all I need, I wouldn’t even hope for you to return the feelings…
