Jace and Clary- Their Future

The First Night

When Clary finishes putting away the last of her clothes she says to Jace, "That's it for clothes" she let out a big breath, "We can finish up the rest tomorrow" Jace smiles and says, "Well now we can go into my room and finally sleep" Clary looks down as if she were nervous. She can't figure out why she would be though, she has spent the night with him before. "Jace I don't know if I should. Mayrse told me I have to sleep in my room unless she okay's it" Jace lets out a soft laugh. "Who cares what Mayrse says. Clary, you don't even have any blankets yet. Are you just gonna sleep on a empty mattress?" She nods her head and says, "I guess your right. I am so tired I need some sleep" Jace smiles, and slowly starts heading for the door waiting for Clary to follow him. When she does finally come up behind him, she takes his hand and follows him to the next room.

When they arrive at Jace's room Jace whispers, "Welcome to my room. Even though you have been in here so many times before" She laughs and then drops herself down on the bed. She lets out a big sigh and curls up into a ball under the blankets. When Jace turns around he is surprised to see her already all comfortable in bed. When she notices that he is looking over she motions to him to come and join her. "Clary this is so much fun. You know I missed you while you were staying at your mom and Luke's every night. I liked when you lived here when we first met. I could walk down the hall and go see you anytime I wanted to" Clary smiled over at him and replied, "I missed you too Jace. You know I did. But I had to be with them after all that had happened" He nodded and then put his arms around her. He was warm and Clary always loved when he held her in his arms. Whenever he did this she knew that he really loved her.

"Jace, do you ever see us spending the rest of our lives together?" Clary asks Jace. Jace makes a surprised sound and says, "Of course I see it everyday. I never think about not spending the rest of my life with you. I just couldn't. It would be too hard. Nobody truly understands me like you do Clary. Not even Alec or Izzy" She smiles at this comment. It reassured her that Jace would never do anything to hurt her. "Your right Jace. I don't think there is anyone out there that is as perfect for me than you" Clary says. "And right back at you" Jace replies. "So what do you think our future together would be like?" Clary says to Jace. "It would be perfect! We would be married and have little Clary Jr.'s and little Jace Jr.'s. They would be the cutest little things in the world" Jace says very confidently. "They would have your fiery red hair and my gold eyes" Jace says this as if he had thought about this in much detail. "That sounds like the perfect life that I want to have in the future with you Jace Horandale. And it will be perfect" Clary says and gives him a quick kiss on the cheek.

As Jace drifts off Clary wonders if he really did see that kind of future for them. If he dreamed of having a family like that with her. If he really did want kids. She knew she did. She has always seen a bright future with him since the day she laid eyes on him in the Pandemonium Club. Even though the first time she saw him she thought he was a cold blooded murderer. She loved him so much and she knew he loved her back. They have always loved each other in this sort of way. Even when they had thought they were brother and sister. She couldn't even picture a life without Jace anymore. She wouldn't know a life without him. I mean she would still have Simon and her mom and Luke, but who would love her in the way Jace does? She doesn't want to know a life without him. It would be too hard. "I love you Jace" She whispers into his ear as she lies down and nuzzles into Jace.
