Jace and Clary- Their Future

Baby Herondale

It was a beautiful Spring day, all of the flowers in the garden were bloomed and were brightening up the Institute perfectly. Clary and Jace were sitting on a bench in the garden, discussing baby names. They decided to wait till the baby was born to see if it was a boy or girl so they had to come up with two. For girls they liked Elizabeth and Eliza and, for boys they like Jordan and Stephen. Jace had the idea for Stephen after his father, since he did not know him that well. Clary loved it. It took them hours but they finally came up with two names, Elizabeth Marie Herondale and Stephen Fray Herondale. "Jace it's a perfect day! It couldn't get any better!" Clary said to Jace after they finalized the names. He smiled down at her, "It really is. Nothing is like spending a perfect spring day with your beyond beautiful wife" and leaned over a gave her a kiss.

"Clary you wanna watch TV with me" Isabelle asked Clary when she came inside. "I would but I'm not feeling right, right now Iz. I'm just gonna go upstairs!" Clary replied back. She started worrying about Clary. Her face had a light tint of red to it and she seemed to be really struggling to even walk. Izzy ran over and help Clary up the stairs. "Clary you sure your okay?" Izzy asked as Clary sat on the stairs. She put her hands on her stomach, "Ya I think I should be fine. I just want to go upstairs" Izzy faked a smile and helped her up the rest of the stairs. "Where is Jace I have to ask him something?" Izzy asked Clary. Clary sat down on the bed a let out a big sigh, "He's in the kitchen" Izzy looked down at her. She looked like she was in a lot of pain, she felt so bad. "I'll leave the door open incas e you need me" Izzy said as she walked out of the room and walked to the kitchen. "Jace what's wrong with Clary?" Isabelle asked him sternly. "I dont know! She won't tell me or let me take her to the doctor" He replied back. Then they heard Clary yell.

Jace and Isabelle ran up the stairs and into Clary's room, Jace got there first. "What's wrong Clary!" Jace yelled as he ran over to her. "Look" she yelled. Isabelle looked. Clary's water broke. "Jace we have to get her to the hospital now!" Isabelle yelled. Jace picked Clary up. Even though she was carrying a second person she was still pretty light. He ran down the stairs and put her in the car. Isasbelle packed clothes for the baby, Clary, and Jace for about two days. "Let's go!" Isabelle said to Jace. "Where are you going in such a hurry?" Alec yelled. "The baby is coming you idiot!" Clary yelled back at him. He stood there stunned for a few seconds and then told Jace to get into the back with Clary and drove them all to the hospital.

The whole car ride there Isabelle and Jace were telling Clary to breathe and that they would be there soon. Clary was holding Jace's hand and squeezing as hard as she could. Jace seemed to hardly notce. He was so worried. He hated seeing her like this, in so much pain. When they got there Alec parked and stopped the car as fast as he could so that Jace could bring Clary inside. When they got inside Isabelle hunted down a nurse. A few minutes later Isabelle and the nurse came running in and had a wheelchair. Jace placed Clary carefully into the wheelchair. The nurse looked between Alec and Jace, "Which one of you is the father?" Jace and Alec looked at each other. "Me!" Jace said. The nurse nodded and motioned for Jace to follow her.

The next few hours were agonizing. For Clary they were full of pain and waiting and for Jocelyn, Luke, Mayrse, Alec, Izzy, and Jace they were full of waiting and lots of coffee. But finally at ten fifty seven on May thirteenth a baby girl was born. She was absolutely beautiful. She had red hair just like Clary and golden eyes just like Jace, her name was Elizabeth Marie Herondale. When Clary held her for the first time she and Jace both cried. Jace lied in the bed right next to Elizabeth and Clary and played with her tiny hands and feet. They sat like that for about two hours without being disturbed. They loved it. There first few hours as a small family were perfect, they enjoyed every second of it. "I should probably go tell everyone" Jace said getting up. Clary nodded. When Jace walked out everyone one jumped up and started at him. He had a huge smile on his face. "Well don't just stand there looking like an idiot" Izzy yelled. "Okay! Okay!," He said, "What do you want to know first?" He asked them. "Boy or girl? What does it look like?" Alec replied. "Girl. Hair like Clary and eyes like me!" Isabelle started crying. "Name?" Luke asked. "Elizabeth Marie Herondale" Jace whispered back. "Is she perfect?" Isabelle asked Jace between sniffles. Jace held out his arms telling Isabelle to give him a hug. When she finally did he whispered in her ear, "Yes"

Jace returned to Clary about fifteen minutes later. "Hey! Are you and Elizabeth up for some visitors?" Jace asked her. "Ya just have my mom, Luke, and Mayrse first I don't want to overwhelm her. He smiled and closed the door. A few minutes later Jocelyn, Luke, and Mayrse walked. "Clary! I'm so proud of you!" Jocelyn said when she walked in. She walked over a gave Clary a hug. She gasped and put her hands over her hands over mouth, "She is so beautiful guys!" Jocelyn said as she began to cry. Clary lifted up Elizabeth and put her into her mothers arms. Her mom walked over to Luke and showed him. He smiled and started playing with her hands. After a few minutes Mayrse walked over to Jocelyn and Luke, "May I?" She asked. "Of course" Jocelyn replied and carefully put the baby into Mayrse's arms. "She is absolutely perfect!" Mayrse said as she looked down at the baby. "Can we let Izzy and Alec in now?" Clary asked as she smiled at her mom. "Of course," Jocelyn said, "I'll get them" Before leaving the room Mayrse carefully put Elizabeth into Jace's arms.

About five minutes later Isabelle and Alec came in. Clary and Jace were sitting on the bed together admiring there new born when they came in. "Clary!" Isabelle yelled when she walked in. She ran over to the bed and looked at Elizabeth. "By the Angel! She is perfect!" Izzy yelled when she saw her. "Would you like hold her Iz?" Jace asked already knowing the answer. "Of course!" She said. Jace placed Elizabeth in her arms and she started in her eyes. "Alec come here!" Isabelle said. He walked over and looked at the baby girl and smiled. "Do you want to hold her?" Isabelle asked. He shook his head. "Well it's time for her to have dinner and I'm tired so see you guys later?" Clary said. Isabelle nodded and handed Isabelle back to Clary. "Bye" Clary said as her and Alec left. They waved goodbye and shut the door behind her.

A few hours later Clary, Jace and Elizabeth were sleeping on the bed all together. Jace was holding Clary's hand and Elizabeth was sleeping with her hands up by her head in the middle of Jace and Clary. The small family slept and enjoyed the company each other during their first night as a family.
