Jace and Clary- Their Future

Christmas in Los Angles

It was only two days till Christmas and the Herondale's were heading to California. Emma had been begging them to come to Los Angles to visit her and Julian for months, so they decided to spend Christmas up there. Clary was running between her room and Lizzy's room making sure they had everything all morning. It was Lizzy first time leaving New York so Clary was a bit nervous. Jace thought it was a little much, but he didn't say that to her. "Do you have her blanket?" Clary said to Jace as he zipped up their suitcase. "Yes, and her bear. Don't worry she'll be fine!" Jace said. He then walked up to her and kissed her forehead. "Alright," Clary said with a sigh, "Time to head to the airport! Can you go and wake up Lizzy?" Jace smiled and walked out of the room. 

When he got to her room she was sitting in her bed with a book. She was smiling and reading the book Bear Snores On. She had practically memorized it because she and Jace had read it so many times, yet she never got sick of it. "Hi sweetie" Jace said. She jumped and looked up not expecting Jace to be there, "Hi Daddy! Do we get to leave now?" He smiled. Whenever he knew she was happy then he was suddenly happy. It was like their emotions were connected; When she was sad he was sad, and when she was happy he was happy. "Ya now come on! We have to help Mommy bring everything downstairs and then say goodbye to Alec and Isabelle!" He said and picked her up off her bed. 

They walked down the hallway back to Jace and Clary's room to get ready ro leave. "Ready Mommy!" Lizzy said as soon as she entered the room. "Alright why don't you grab your backpack and say bye to Izzy and Alec!" Clary said and set her on her way. "She's so excited!" Clary stated. "I know she hasen't stopped talking about it for the last two weeks!" Jace said in the middle of a laugh, "We should head downstairs too!" Jace grabbed his and Clary's bag while Clary grabbed the bag full of Lizzy's things. 

When Jace and Clary got downstairs Lizzy was sitting in Isabelle's lap and was telling her what she wanted for Christmas. That's because Isabelle promised Lizzy their would be a present for her when she got back. Clary and Jace dropped their stuff in the doorway and said their goodbye's. "We'll miss you guys!" Isabelle said. "Yup" Alec added, being so enthusiastic as usual. "Alright Lizzy let's go!" Jace said and they were out the door. "Will there be snow at Emma's?" Lizzy asked as Jace locked the door behind them. "Nope!" Clary said. Lizzy then made a frown face and entered the cab that would be taking them to the airport.

"Come on we only have a half hour until we have to board!" Jace said as they raced through the airport. They had a bit of a set back because Lizzy had packed herself a juice box in her backpack, which your not allowed to pass through security. So that cost them about fifteen minutes. "What terminal?" Clary asked. "Three, it's right here!" Jace replied and walked to the seats to wait for them to say they could board. "Okay, now we wait" Jace said and dropped the bags. Lizzy was playing on Jace's iPad and was fine. They just hoped she would be okay on the plane. About ten minutes later they heard a voice over the speaker, "Passengers flying on flight 3B may start boarding now" They collected their things and got into line.they waited for ten minutes and it was finally their turn. "Tickets please!" The man said. Jace handed him the three tickets and smiled. The man checked the tickets and then smiled, "Well aren't you a little cutie! Your all set!" Lizzy laughed and hugged Jace's leg. They continued down the the tunnel that led to the plane with their carryons and reached the entrance. Lizzy gasped in excitement as she entered the plane, "I can't belive we get to ride in a plane!" Jace and Clary laughed and walked down the aisle. "We're in 24A, 24B, and 24C" Clary said as she looked for their seats. When they found them they let Lizzy have the window seat so one she could look out the window and so two they could sit next to each other.
