Jace and Clary- Their Future

"Shopping"

Clary wakes up to the sound of a soft knock on her door. "Who is it?" Clary yells, half asleep. "It's me Jace. You know your Boyfriend?" Clary giggles and jumps out of bed and opens the door for Jace. He is leaning on the door frame wearing jeans and a black t-shirt. "I have to go somewhere with Izzy and Simon today, so they won't be available today. But, Alec said that he would be happy to hang out with you or if you wanted to train he would do that with you too" Clary gave a sarcastic smile and then replied, "Wow what ever happened to a 'Good Morning' or something-" Jace cut her off and whispered "Good Morning" But she continued, "But okay I'll hang out with Alec today I'll take him with me to see my mom and Luke. Where are you, Izzy, and Simon going that I can't come to?" He hesitated and gave his head a little roll and then finally said, "We have to go...Uhhh...Shopping. Ya we have to go shopping" He gave Clary a soft smile. "Okay" She replied. He smiled gave her a quick kiss and said, "See you tonight!" Clary suddenly feels left out and also kind of sad. "See you tonight" she whispers softly to myself. 

"I just don't understand where they would have to go with out me! Where do you think they went Alec?" He hesitated for a moment and then finally replied, "I don't know where? Why do you think I know. Because I don't. I don't know where" Clary gave Alec a curious look and the whispers, "You know something!" She gasped. "You know where they went!" Alec shook his head furiously back and forth. "Please Alec! Please tell me! Tell me!" He stood up and said "No Clary! I can't tell you! I promised I wouldn't tell and I'm not gonna break that promise! By the angel just stop bothering about it and let's talk about something else" Clary thought for a moment and thought about  what boys hate to talk about. Relationships. "Okay Alec let's talk about Magnus" He rolled eyes and yelled, "Oh no... no no no I am talking about my love life with you!"

"Izzy this is why I needed you to come. These rings, they all look the same to me except some have bigger price tags!" Then he thought about Izzy and threw out the numbers. "And by the way don't forget I'm not spending over $5,000" Izzy sighed and giggled at him. "Jeez I know Jace" Jace decided to let Izzy admire the rings and walked over to Simon. He looked... uncomfortable. "Hey Simon whats wrong? You look like your really worried" Simon looked up at J back, "Ya I am. I'm in a ring store looking for engagement rings with my girlfriend," He sighed and finished, "and I don't want her to think that I'm going to propose to her too" Jace laughed and said, "You don't have to worry about that with Izzy. Clary said that she talks to Izzy about it all the time and she says that she says 'I don't want to get married to Simon for at least another couple of years'" That made Simon feel a lot better. But they were soon cut off by Izzy. "Jace come at this one! It's perfect" Jace couldn't agree more. It was a Neil Lane 1 1/4 diamond ring with 14k white gold, and it was only $4,000. "Izzy it really is perfect. I am going to get this one. This is the one" Jace immediatly calls over one of the employees and asks for the ring in a size four. When the man comes back out with the ring Jace is happier than Isabelle has ever seen him. "Let's go home guys tomorrows gonna be a big night for me. I need some rest"

When Clary hears the doors to the institute open she runs out of her room, down the corridor, and down the stairs as fast as she could. To her surprise they had no shopping bags. "Where did you guys go? I thought you went shopping?" Isabelle was for some reason very very happy as well as Jace. "We did go shopping" Jace added. "We just didn't buy anything" Clary seemed shocked. Isabelle. Shopping. Nothing back, thats a new record. "Well okay I guess!" Clary said very energetically. "Whose hungry?" Isabelle was the first to respond with, "Ya I'm starving! Let's have some food!" But Jace didn't quite have the same answer. "You know I'm really tired. I'm just going to say hello to Alec and then go to bed" He gently sighed. "Goodnight!" "Goodnight" Clary and Isabelle both said in unison. "What's up with him today?" Clary asked Isabelle "I have no idea" Isabelle whispered as she followed Clary into the kitchen, with a sly smirk on her face.
