Jace and Clary- Their Future

"So have you and Jace made any plans yet?" Jocelyn asked Clary. Clary chucked and sighed and replied, "No we haven't.  It's only been a week and a half since he proposed" Luke and and Simon both laughed at Jocelyn while Clary just shook her head back and forth. "So can we talk about something besides the wedding that is no where in the near future!" Luke suggested. "Sure!" Simon said happy to leave the subject of the wedding. "So me and the guys are going to perform for a record deal company in New York next week!" Everybody started -congratulating Simon an hugging and then repeating it over and over. "Thanks guys I hope it goes well" Simon says. Clary jumps in and says, "You'll do fine you guys are getting really good and the name is perfect! At least its not something dumb anymore"

"So why did you guys come here anyway?" Mom asked as we headed into the kitchen for dinner. "And where's Jace?" Clary laughed at her mother because of all her questioning. "We came here because we wanted to spend some time together like we did before we got introduced to the shadowhunter world and Jace is at the Institute with Alec and Isabelle" She took a deep breath after letting out all that information in one sentence. "So whats for dinner!" Simon asked. "Well for Clary Luke and I, Chicken and rice with some broccoli, and for you Simon I got some blood just in case you every needed any" Jocelyn replied to Simon. Simon smiled back at her. "Mrs. Fray always has what you need" She carefully poured the blood into a wine glass for Simon. "Thanks so much for dinner again! I'm just gonna call Jace really quick and tell him not to wait for me for dinner! Be right back!" Clary said and walked out of the room pulling her phone out of her pocket. 

As the phone rang and Clary waited for Jace to pick up the phone she tapped her foot on the floor. Suddenly a voice answered the phone. "Hello?" Someone said into the phone. It wasn't Jace though, It was Alec. "Hey Alec it's Clary can I talk to Jace please" Clary asked in her sweet voice. "Ya hang on a second" She waited at the phone hearing Alec yell Jace's name and Jace coming running to the voice. "Hello?" Jace said into the phone. "Oh hey Jace it's Clary!" He sighed and thought she could hear him smile through the phone. "Hey Clary! When will you be home? I miss you!" Jace said. She loved it when he was sweet. "Aww I miss you too but Simon and I are having over at my mom and Luke's house and then I'll e home!" He sighs like he is disappointed but replies back, "Okay see you later. Bye! Love you!" He says. "Okay bye! Love you too!!" Clary replies back before walking back into the kitchen with her mom, Luke, and Simon. 

"Mom this is delicious" Clary says taking another bite of her chicken. "Thanks Clary"Jocelyn replied back. "So hows everything around here?" Clary asks her mom and Luke. Her mom and Luke look at each other but Luke is the first one to speak. "Good. But your mom and I had an idea" Luke looks back over at Jocelyn. She nods her head as if giving the go too. "We are going to go and spend a week in Idris" Clary's jaw drops and she is almost speechless. Her mom and Luke gone for a whole month! She didn't know if she could handle it. "But we wanted to tell you before setting anything up" She manged a fake smile and said, "Thats great! Have fun!" She looked over at Simon who was staring into his cup trying not to get into the middle of this. "Well I bet you guys will have a great time!" Clary said. 

"Well Simon and I should go I told Jace I would be back in a hour and a half" Clary said. Luke jumped up as Clary and Simon stood up and gave them both hugs goodbye. Jocelyn did the same. "Bye guys have a safe drive home!" Jocelyn yelled as they pulled out of the driveway.
