Jace and Clary- Their Future

Girls Day

Ever since Jace had found out Clary was pregnant he has been very protective of her. Helping her up everytime she sits down and not letting her do anything for herself. So today her and Isabelle are having a girls day out. "Clary you ready?" Isabelle yelled through Clary's door. "Yup I'm coming!" She replied back. She came out of the door wearing a plain black t-shirt and jeans. It had been four months since she had found out she was pregnant and she had done nothing. Literally. Her and Jace have been very lazy the past couple of months. So Izzy thought she should get out. She already had a pretty big baby bump. "Ready?" Clary asked Izzy. She nodded her head and went down the stairs. Jace met them at the bottom. "Are you sure your upto it?" Jace asked Clary. She laughed, "Yes Jace I'll be fine. I have to. I haven't done much since we found out so yes I'm going" He looked suprise. "Okay" He replied. He gave her a kiss and hug before she left and said goodbye to Izzy. 

When they got outside Isabelle grabbed a cab. "He really needs to lay off a little. If I have a baby and Simon acts like that I'm gonna kill him" Isabelle said. Clary chuckled at her. "It's okay. I know he means well but you are right" Clary replied, "Where are we going?" Clary asked Isabelle. She had no idea, she just agreed to go because she had to get out. "Well I thought we could go and pick up Maia and then go into the city?" She replied back with a smirk on her face. "By the Angel I havent seen Maia since the wedding! She dosen't know I'm having a baby yet!" Clary said. Isabelle laughed, "Well it'll be a nice suprise!" Clary let out a sigh and watched them speed through downtown New York.

"We're here!" Izzy said as they pulled up to Maia's apartment. "Thank you" They both said to the driver as they got out of the car. Maia's apartmet is onthe third floor. Clary rings the bell that reads 'Kyle'. This apartment used ro be Jordan's before he died in battle. The Praetor was going to sell it but Maia convinced him not to. She was devestated, so she wanted to keep all of his things the same and not move anything. "Come up" Maia said through the speaker. Isabelle quickly went up quickly to let Maia know who it was. "Hey Isabelle! What's up?" She said when Izzy came up the stairs. "Hey," Isabelle replied back, "Do you wanna go into the cit with Clary and I?" Maia smiled. "Sure. Where is Clary?" She's on her way up!" Isabelle smiled as big as she could. "What's taking so long?" Maia asked confused. "She has a suprise!" Izzy whispered. About one minute later Clary made it up the stairs. Maia was inside getting a jacket and her purse. "Clary turn around so your back is to the door!" Isabelle whispered to Clary. "Ok!" Clary replied back. A few minutes later Maia walked out into the hallway. "Hey Clary!" She said. Clary slowly turned around so that Maia could see her baby bump. Maia dropped her bag. "No way!!" Maia yelled and ran over to Clary. She laughed. "Is it a boy or girl!" Maia asked quickly. "Not sure yet! Gonna find out next week!" Clary replied. Maia smiled, "You have to call me when you find out!" And gave Clary another hug. 

"Who's ready?" Isabelle said. They all headed downstairs. "Where are we going?" Maia asked. "Just into the city and have dinner" Isabelle replied back. They hopped into a cab and rode into the city. When they got there they went to a resturant called 'Eats Bar and Resturant'. It was really good, they all loved it. after dinner they decided to walk around the city. "This is so pretty!" Maia said as they saw time square lighting up in the night. "Ya it really is!" Isabelle replied back, "What do you think Clary?" Isabelle looked ehind her and realized that Clary wasen't behind them. "Maia! Whare's Clary?" Isabelle said. "I don't know I thought she was behind us!" Maia said as they started running back. They couldn't find her anywhere. Izzy decided to call her. The phone rang about four times before Clary picked up. "Hello?" She said. "Clary where are you?" Isabelle said relived she was okay. "I took a cab back. You guys looked like you were having a good time and i would have just slowed you own so I decided to just come home. But Jace is pretty upset you guys didn't notice until now but, he'll get over it". "No I won't!" Jace said in the background. "Clary you didn't have to do that we could have come with you. I'm so sorry!" Isabelle replied back feeling really bad. "It's okay Izzy! See you soon!" And Clary hung up the phone. 

When the cab arrived at Maia's apartment Isabelle said, "Thanks again for coming!" Maia smiled and then shut the door. All the way back to the Institute Izzy imagined what Jace was going to say when she got back. When she got inside she walked into the living room to see Clary and Jace sitting on the couch by the fire. Clary had her head in Jace's lap and he was putting his hand through her hair. They were perfect. This made her miss Simon. "Hey guys" She said as she walked into the room and sat on the big armchair. Jace frowned at her, "How could you not notice that she left?" Clary looked up at him, "Jace", "I know I am so sorry Clary" Isabelle pleaded. "Isabelle don't worry about it!" Clary said. Jace got up and walked over to Izzy, "Just next time keep track of my wife!" Jace said and gave Izzy a hug. Later on Simon, Magnus, and Alec all joined them and te three couples enjoyed some hot choclate on that cold December night.
