Jace and Clary- Their Future

Let's Talk

As Clary hears Jace wake up she slowly rolls over still half asleep. When she looks over at the clock it reads six thirty am. "Why are you up so early?" He looks down at her with a stern glare and then she suddenly remembers. "Oh right you Shadowhunters like to wake up at the crack of dawn. I forgot" He laughs at Clary as he slips a black t-shirt over his head and whispers, "Don't forget your a Shadowhunter too!" He says as he walks out of the door of his bedroom. Since she is already awake, Clary decides to get up with everybody else. She quickly throws on her gear and heads downstairs to the kitchen. When she enters she hears, "Wow she actually wakes up early" and she obviously knows who it is. Alec. "Good morning to you too Alec. And for the record I only woke up this early because Jace woke me up when he woke up" He chuckled and responded, "Okay I was just kidding". He stands up and Jace does the same. "Well" Jace says letting out a big breath of air, "We are off to the training room. We will let you ladies talk" He smiles to Clary and then walks out of the room. 

When Jace and Alec leave the room Clary looks over at Izzy who seems to look confused about something. "Hey Izzy what's wrong. You look confused" She looks over at me and replies, "It's Simon. I'm just worried that he will never remember the rest of the good memories we had. Like when we were in Idris. Will he ever remember those good moments? It's just really hard" Clary look over to Izzy and in a soothing voice says, "I know how you feel. I don't think anyone will ever have a harder time with this than you and I. I'm sad that he won't remember our sleepovers at my house and our memories at Luke's farmhouse. But, they are slowly coming back and we can all make new memories for him. It'll be okay Iz. I promise" Izzy looked like she was about to cry. But before she could shed a single tear Clary rushed over and hugged each other as they sobbed into each others shoulders repeating good memories that they had ever had with Simon. 

"Clary thank you so much. You are the only girl friend I have ever had. I've been surrounded by boys my entire life. With the exception of my mother. But, it feels so good being able to talk to someone about these kinds of things" Clary knew exactly how she felt. The only real friend she had ever had was Simon, and she couldn't talk about boys and other girly things with him. It would be awkward. "I know how you feel Izzy all I ever had was Simon" But Clary also felt bad for Isabelle because she never really had any friends. Her only friends were Alec and Jace because she didn'y really have much connections outside the Shadowhunter world. Plus they didn't usually get much company at the Institute. 

Clary and Izzy hung out all day decorating Clary's room with all of her belongings from her mom and Luke's place. She got her bedspreads and hung up things on her wall before saying to Isabelle, "Alright Izzy I think I am going to go to sleep. I'll see you tomorrow" Before Isabelle walked out the door she gave Clary a hug and thanked her again for talking to her all day. Before Clary headed into bed she walked over to Jace's room. When she entered Jace says, "Where have you been all day? I missed you" Clary smiled and looked down at her feet. "I was with Izzy. We had somethings that we had to talk about" Jace looked at her and turned his head slightly to the side, "Why couldn't you talk to me?" Clary laughed softly and finally said, "How can I talk about you with you? I think that would just be weird" Jace kissed her on the forehead and said, "Well we are one weird couple"

Before Clary headed back to her room Jace gave her a goodnight kiss. When she entered her room she smiled and threw herself on the bed. "This is gonna be a good life" she says out loud to herself, as she fell asleep dreaming about Izzy and Simon and her and Jace.
