Jace and Clary- Their Future

Herondale Household

"Jace! Jace, come quick!" Clary yelled out of the library door. Her and Jace had been looking for houses for weeks, especially in the Massachusetts area. They had looked in small towns such as Hingham and Quincy but didn't find much. That was until they looked in Cape Cod. In Chatham they found an average sized five bedroom four bathroom house. It was white with a light gray roof along with a wrap around porch. It was beautiful. A few seconds later Jace came running into the room, "Did they call back? Please tell me they called back, I don't know how much longer I can live with Simon!" He leaned against the door frame and raised his eyebrows waiting for a response. Clary smiled, "They called and...and...the house is ours!" She automatically threw her arms in the air and wrapped them around Jace bringing him into a tight embrace. "I can't belive it Clary! This is amazing, Lizzy is going to love i!" Jace said and returned the hug. "I know I can't belive it either! This was our dream house" Clary replied. They talked about their new house until Lizzy walked in. 

"Why are you talking about Daddy? I heard my name!" Lizzy said sitting in the floor beside the couch where Clary and Jace were sitting. "Yes we were talking about you," Clary said, "Jace why don't you tell her?" Lizzy looked between them confused. "Tell me what? Tell me what!" She said tugging on Jace's leg. He laughed and pulled her into his lap. "Well Lizzy, we are...we are...we're moving! Mommy and Daddy bought their own house for all three of us!" Jace said. Him and Clary were crossing their fingers that she would be happy instead of disappointed. She looked up and smiled, "Yay! We get to have our own house! Now Uncle Alec can't scare me anymore!" The three of them started laughing and hugging. 

"Now we have to tell Aunti Izzy, Uncle Alec, and Grandma!" Jace said walking out of the library with Clary holding one of his hands and Lizzy holding the other. "Ya, and Jace?" Clary said resting her head on his arm as they walked. "Ya?" Jace replied back. She closed her eyes for a couple seconds and then opened them once again, "I think that after we tell them I'm going to head upstairs and take a nap. I'm feeling a little tired" Jace stopped and looked at her, "Are you feeling okay?" She faked a smile, "Oh ya! I'm fine just a little tired!"

Isabelle, Simon, Alec, and Mayrse were in the kitchen talking when Clary found them. "Their in here!" Clary called to Jace after she sat down at the table. A minute later Jace and Lizzy came in with smiles of their faces. "Why are you all so happy?" Alec said. Isabelle raised her hand and said, "By the angel! Can I guess?" She asked with a sly smirk on her face. "I don't think your gonna get it, but sure!" Clary answered. She smiled, "You having a baby! Please say yes!" She said, she then closed her eyes tight and then crossed her fingers. "Oh my how did you guess," Clary asked, "No, I'm just kidding I'm not pregnant! We're moving to Cape Cod!"  

Isabelle turned pale white, "Congratulations! We're really going to miss you though...a whole four hours away" Clary smiled and went to giver hug, "I know, we'll miss you too! But we'll come visit!" They talked for a while about the house and what it'll be like having their own place. Jace also showed them pictures of the house on his computer. "Well I'm going to call my mom and Luke and then take a nap!" Clary said and then exited the kitchen.

When she got upstairs she grabbed the phone off of the side table and dialed Luke's house number. It rang about four times before Luke picked up the phone. "Hello?" He asked. He sounded a little tired, but Clary was still happy to hear his voice. "Hey Luke it's Clary!" She said. She heard him yell "Jocelyn!" in the background. "Hey Clary! What's up?" He asked. "Put me on speaker and then I'll tell you!" Clary replied back. She heard him click a few buttons and then she told them what was going on. She told them all about her newly purchased home and about how excited her and Jace were. "That's great honey," Jocelyn said, "But Luke and I have to run! Talk to you later!" And she hung up. Clary sighed to herself happy that everyone else was happy. But as soon asher head that pillow she was out like a light. 

                                                             Three Weeks Later

Clary, Jace, and Lizzy had arrived at Logan Airport and were waiting for a cab to take them to their new home. Clary was still a bit upset from the day earlier when they had to say goodbye to their family and friends, but was excited to see her home for the first time. "Come on Lizzy hop in the cab!" Jace said as he put their few bags into the trunk. "To Chatham Cape Cod please! " Jace said and they were on their way. 

"How long till we're there Daddy?" Lizzy asked, again. They had been in the car for about an hour now and they were all getting anxious. "Ten more minutes!" Jace said and looked out the window. Clary had been acting weird the entire way there. She had spent the entire ride with her head leaning on Jace's shoulder with her eyes glued to the road ahead of her. But her mood changed as soon as they pulled into the driveway. "We're here Lizzy! Our new home, all ours!" Clary said and hugged Lizzy. Before Jace and Clary had time to unbuckle Lizzy was out of the car and looking at her new house. "Do you like it sweetie?" Jace asked when they got out of the car. The house looked perfect on the outside. On the front stairs their Realtor Jerusha was standing on the front steps holding up a set of keys and smiling at them. 

"Hello Mr. and Mrs. Herondale! I'm Jerusha, we spent a lot of time talking!" She said and held out her hand. She was beautiful; Short blond hair and the most beautiful brown eyes Clary had ever seen, she topped it off with an award winning smile. "Hello! I'm Clary, this is my husband Jace, and our daughter Elizabeth!" Clary said. They talked for a few minutes about the house maintenance and then Jerusha was on her way. "It was great meeting you! Seen you in a few weeks!" Jerusha yelled and pulled out of the driveway. Jace gave Clary a kiss and then put his arm around her, "Ready to go and explore our new home?" He said and they opened the door. 

Inside was beautiful. The walls were painted beautiful colors and the rooms were gorgeous. "It's perfect!" Clary said after taking a look around. "Why don't we go explore upstairs?" Jace said taking Clary and Lizzy's hands. "Of course! But first I have to tell you guys something" Clary said. Lizzy had placed herself on the floor so Clary joined her, along with Jace. "What's going on?" Jace asked. "Well I'm uh...I'm pregnant!" Clary said and then smiled. When she turned to look at Lizzy she had an enormous smile on her face. "I'm going to be a big sister!" Lizzy yelled and gave Clary a hug. "Clary," Jace said, "This is amazing! We get a new house and a new member of our family in one day!" He pulled her into his lap and hugged her and kissed her. "Who's ready to explore now?" Clary said and headed up the stairs.

Upstairs was five bedrooms and two bathrooms. "Well Lizzy go pick a room! You get first dibs!" Jace said, and she was on her way. She took about five minutes until she found the second biggest room. It was a light gray color, which was her favorite, with a window seat. She pulled Jace and Clary into the doorway, "Can I have this one?" She asked. Jace and Clary looked at each other and then smiled. "Of course!" Clary answered and hugged Lizzy. "Now you have to pick one for your brother or sister!" Jace added. She, once again, ran around the upstairs looking for the perfect room for her new sibling. "This one!" She pointed. It was the room right next to the master bedroom. "So you can take care of the baby!" She added. Clary almost teared up. "Oh Lizzy honey that's so sweet! I bet they'll love it!" Clary said and walked in. 

They spent the rest of the night in the soon to be baby nursery talking what it should look like if it was a boy or if it was a girl. Lizzy said that she wanted a baby brother. "Well it's time for bed Lizzy," Clary said, "Daddy set up a blow up mattress in your room and one in Mommy and Daddy's room so we can sleep in our new rooms!" Lizzy smiled and ran to her room. Clary followed. She tucked her into bed, gave her a goodnight kiss, and then went to her room where Jace was waiting for her. 

"Hey" He said when Clary walked in. "Hey" She replied. She quickly put on her pajamas and then got into bed with Jace. "Are you ready for another little one?" She asked him. He smiled and tucked a loose piece of hair behind her ear. "As long as I have you to help me we can do anything" He said and kissed her forehead. They lied down and Jace put his arms around Clary. "I love you" Clary said nuzzling into him. "I love you too" He replied and then closed his eyes.
