"What are you doing here?" I scream out at the boy standing in front of me. "Ssh, your going to wake up Jack and Em," he whispers holding his index finger to his lips.
"I thought you were at a party?" I ask him. "It was a hangout!" he defends himself. "But I wasn't feeling it."
"Anyway, what are you-- wait, what are you doing with that statue?" he asks looking at me in shock. "What you didn't actually think I wouldn't defend myself when some stranger comes into your home?" I question him.
"I'm not a stranger," he exclaims. "Well I didn't know that, did I?" I ask him raising my eyebrows at him.
"You're so over-dramatic," he points out. "I'm sorry that I'm scared for my life when someone opens the door to a house that isn't my own. In a house where no one is supposed to be home for a couple of hours." I scream at him. "As I said, over-dramatic," he tells me again.
"Shut up Jay!" I scream at him while I'm walking back to the living room. "I'm sorry to tell you, but you can't go home until my parents are here," he tells me making me roll my eyes.
"What are you doing?" Jay asks me. "I was looking for a movie, but you only have horror or kid movies in here," I tell him.
Jayden furrows his eyebrows as he runs out of the room. Now, it's my turn to furrow my eyebrows. Not much later, Jay comes back with a box in his hand.
"Your favorite movie is 'The Greatest Showman' right?" I look up at him in disbelief. "Kevin mentioned it once," he shrugs it off as he puts the movie in.
Jay sits down beside me as the movie starts. I look at him while his eyes are fixated on the screen. He sits relaxed on the couch. From this side, he's an exact image of his father. With his brown hair and brown eyes.
I know that when you look at him from the front, you can also see little things he got from his mother, but he's mostly a spitting image of his father.
"Take a picture, it'll last longer," Jay says snapping me out of my thoughts. "Why would I make a picture of you?" I scoff. Jayden turns toward me.
"Why wouldn't you want to make a picture of me?" he says in a seductive tone. His face coming awfully close to me. "I don't want my camera to break," I whisper sounding way too less confident than I want to sound.
"I don't think cameras break from sexiness," Jay whispers back. His voice, unlike mine, does sound overly confident. He places both my hands on either side of my hips as I can feel his breath on my lips. I only have to lean in a little and our lips would touch.
A door opening upstairs snaps us out of our little moment. I draw back in embarrassment as Jay smirks at my actions. Suddenly Matt pops back in my head.
Oh gosh, I have a boyfriend. Jay knows I have. Why would he do something like this when he knows I have a boyfriend? As I go over everything in my head I grow more pissed.
"Kai, I can't sleep," a little voice says snapping me out of my thoughts. The little girl who the voice belongs to stands in her cute frozen pajamas in the doorway to the living room with one thumb in her mouth. Her other hand holds a stuffed panda.
"Oh, come here," I cooe as the little girl walks towards the couch. The couch where I am seated alone now. Jay has fled. Emma crawls on to my lap as I wrap my arms around her. She rests her head on my shoulder as she continues to nibble on her thumb.
"Kaiwee, can you sing for me?" Emma asks after some time. I nod my head before I stand up. "But first I'm bringing you to bed," I tell Emma walking towards the stairs.
In the Dallas home, you can find the stairs next to the front door. Upstairs you find a long hallway where the bedrooms of all the four kids are placed. There you can also find a little library, a game room and a movie room. The master bedroom, uncle Cameron's office, and aunt Demi's office are all downstairs.
