"Just a couple of days before you go on tour with your father," Jay says with a sad voice as he walks into my room. "Leave! We're watching a movie!" Liv screams at him. Immediately, he shoots his hands up in the air and leaves out of the door.
"I love how much power I have over your boyfriend," she tells me excitedly. Liv and I are actually not even watching a movie, but we are having some girl time until I go away for the summer. Lately, we haven't spend as much time together.
"You should see my power over him," I tell her chuckling. We both sit up with big smiles on our faces. "Have you found yourself somebody?" I ask Liv as she stares off into the distance.
"I actually have," she tells me with a little hesitance in her voice. "That's amazing Livvy!" I cheer. "What's wrong?" Concern fills me as she avoids eye contact "I don't know," she mutters.
"Hey, guys!" Aria screams as she comes walking in. Liv jumps up a little at the sound of her voice. The three of us became really close in the past month or so. "What are we talking about?" She wonders as she jumps down on my bed. "Boys," I respond. "Have you noticed a cute guy around here yet?"
Immediately, Aria shakes her head. "I don't do boys. They are way too complicated," she tells me. A creeped out look takes over her face. "You don't mind, do you?" She asks with concern in her voice. I shake my head in response.
"I couldn't care less as long as you're happy," I tell her. "Oh and also as long as you're not dating a serial killer." It makes both girls chuckle.
"Let's do nails," Aria cheers clapping her hands together. It makes Liv snap out of her trance. She claps her hands together as well and the both of them pull me towards Liv's room. On the bridge, we meet Jay.
"I thought you were watching a movie?" He asks with a confused look on his face as Liv and Aria pull me past him. I just wave at him while I almost fall off the stairs.
"I hate this," I mutter as I get dumped on a chair in Liv's room. Aria and Liv ignore me as they pick out a color for on my nails. "This one fits her eyes well," Aria says holding up a color. "Oh that one is good," Liv tells her before they both of them turn around with wicked smiles on their faces.
It's safe to say that I'm completely dolled up now. Liv pulled out a lot of her dresses that apparently fit the color of my eyes and the nail polish. In some weird way, Liv found out that Jay is taking me on a date later today.
"Can I take my girlfriend out now?" Jay asks as he walks in. He stops in his tracks when his eyes land on me. "Wow," he mutters while he shamelessly stares at me. Liv waves in front of his eyes to snap him out of his trance. "You look beautiful, baby," he whispers walking over to me. He takes my hand and leans down for a kiss.
"NO!" Liv screams making Jay pull back. "You'll ruin her make up." I roll my eyes at Liv before I pull Jay out of her room. We scream goodbye at everyone in the house before we run out. Luckily, I could convince Liv and Aria that I shouldn't wear high heels.
This time, Jay pulls me towards a little restaurant not far down the street instead of driving me somewhere. He got us a booth by a window, so we have a view of the ocean. I used to come here a lot when I was younger, but nowadays I only come here when I need a milkshake after school.
"Jayden Dallas, it must be my lucky day!" A feminine voice cheers. He looks up and immediately his face falls. "Amy," he spits out. "What are you doing here?" I look beside me to see a girl with blonde hair and a bright smile.
She sits down next to Jay and wraps her arms around his left arm. The girl is obviously a model. She is long, has perfectly white teeth and has curves in all the right places. Not to mention she wears expensive brand clothing.
"I was in the neighborhood and when I saw you sitting here, I thought I'd say 'hi'," she says in a seductive tone. "Well, you said hi and now, you can go," Jay tells her.
"But I just came here," she pouts. "But you're interrupting my date," he mocks her pouting as well.
Amy's face falls as she turns to me. Immediately her face turns disgusted and I wave sarcastically at her. "She is your date?" She asks with so much disgust in her voice. "Downgraded much?" She asks turning towards Jay.
"I'd call it upgrading," he tells her with a sweet smile on his face.
"Let me tell you something. Don't let yourself fall for him. He's going to dump you, because there is this one girl he wants, but can never get," Amy spats out towards me. I furrow my eyebrows at her in question.
"It happened with me," she explains. "We were happily dating until Jay decided that I wasn't good enough. That I wasn't the girl he had been chasing after his whole life. Do you know how much that sucks?" She asks me. "Do you know how much it sucks to find yourself falling for a guy who only compared you to another girl he gave up on?"
I can't help but feel a little bad for the girl. I would be heartbroken if something like that happened to me. It was kind of a dick move of Jay, but I'm pretty sure Jay had his motives.
The guilty look on his face already says enough. One look in his eyes tells me that Jay is sorry for what he did to Amy, but that there's more to the story.
"Amy, I'm really sorry for what I did, but please don't do this," Jay pleads. "Why not Jay? This girl deserves to know. She deserves to know that you're hung up on a girl that no one will ever top," Amy argues with him.
"She is the girl, Amy. She is the girl," Jay tells her determined. Amy raises her eyebrows before a small smile grows on her face. "Good for you," she tells him with a bitter tone. "It was nice seeing you, Jay. Be happy." She gives him a peck on his cheek before she leaves.
I turn my head towards Jay in confusion. "I dated her for a little while before we came back here," he explains. "If I'm honest, I dated a lot of girls before you and it's not something I'm proud of." I lay my hand over his.
"I thought that I could forget about you if I dated other girls. I thought that I could feel the same for another girl as I feel for you because I could never get you. I could never deserve you, but I could never find it. I used all these girls because I couldn't have you. And now, I'm here sitting in front of you calling you 'mine'. Nothing could ruin it, but my past is catching up with me. All because I couldn't handle not having you," he tells me with tears in his eyes.
"It doesn't matter Jay. No matter what happens, I'm in love with you. I might not always agree with your decisions, but I'll always be in love with you, Jayden Cameron Scott Dallas," I tell him leaning over the table and giving him a kiss on his lips.
"What did I do to deserve you?" He mutters before he pecks my lips again.
