26. A guy gets ten times hotter when he's good with kids.

"Jayden Cameron Scott Dallas, give me my phone back!" I hear as aunt Demi opens the front door. "Stop playing stupid music!" I hear Jay reply. 

"But it's Shawn Mendes!" I hear the first person scream back. "Exactly! That's my girlfriend's father! It's weird!" Jay screams back. 

I raise my eyebrows at aunt Demi and she just shrugs. "It happens a lot," she explains as she gestures me to walk in. Just at that moment, Jay runs into the hallway. "Oh hey baby," he greets me giving me a peck on my lips. 

"It's not weird to listen to my dad. I do it all the time," I tell him and a light blush spreads across his cheeks. "It's a good thing she loves you," aunt Demi mocks him patting Jay on his shoulder. Jay groans and turns his head towards me. 

"She's right," I tell him before I peck his cheek and leaves somewhere. I walk over to the kitchen.

"You two are one cute couple," aunt Demi tells me as she's cutting apples. I smile at her. "Can I help you with anything?" I ask her. Immediately shakes her head. "No, sweetie, just go and have fun," she tells me. "Aunt Demi, if there's anything I can do, please just tell me." Aunt Demi looks up and shakes her head again. 

"How about you call Cam and I just 'Cam and Demi' instead of aunt and uncle?" She asks me. "Oh that's a good one," uncle Cam exclaims walking into the kitchen. "That would be so much less explaining to do." I raise my eyebrows in question. 

"There are some old friends coming over, but it would be hard to explain our son dating a girl who calls us aunt and uncle," uncle Cam explains. "And I actually find it rather weird as well," he chuckles. 

"From now on it's Demi and Cam," he says patting my back. I roll my eyes. "I'm going to find Jay," I mutter and walk out of the kitchen. "In the toy room," Cam tells me. I mutter thanks and walk over to the toy room. 

In the toy room, I find Jay playing with his younger siblings. Both Jack and Emma have wide smiles on their faces while Jay is playing with them. Jay puts on different voices while he plays with the dolls of his sister. I smile at him while a warm feeling spreads within me.

"Kai! Come play with us," little Emma exclaims when she notices me. She grabs my hand with her miniature version and pulls me towards her dolls. I smile at Jay and his smile immediately widens.  

We play with Emma's dolls for a little while until Demi calls us out for dinner. Emma instantly drops all her dolls and sprints towards the kitchen. I chuckle at the little girl's excitement as I take Jay's extended hand. 

Together we walk towards the kitchen where a couple of men are stood together. "Is that baby Mendes?" One of the guys asks and if on cue they all turn their heads towards Jay and I. "Actually, baby Mendes is in my mother's stomach, but I'll go with it," I answer to the man who looks somewhat familiar. 

"She has Alex's sass, doesn't she?" The man asks turning towards Cam. "She looks like her, doesn't she?" Cameron answers with a question.

 "When she's only just standing here," I answer in the third person. Behind me, I hear Jay chuckle. "That's Taylor Caniff," Jay introduces the man. "One of--" 

"One of our parents' old friends," I cut him off. "Ah, she remembers," Taylor exclaims. "Can you guys just sit down and eat the dinner I made?" Demi exclaims. Immediately all the men rush their way towards the table. I chuckle at them and am slightly proud of Demi on how she handles them. 

I sit down myself between Taylor and another man whose name I can't quite place. Jay is placed in front of me with his little sisters on both sides of him.
