"Awh, isn't this cute?" I hear a voice whisper in my dream. "They would make such a great couple," I hear another voice. I recognize the voice as my mother's.
"No, they would not," I hear a deep voice rumble.
"What are you actually doing here? Nobody likes you," the sassy voice of my best friend asks him.
"She does," I hear the deep voice again. I recognize at as the voice of my boyfriend. "She is not good in her head right now," Liv compliments me.
"Can you shut the fuck up?" Another deep voice rumbles. The voice coming from Jay. His voice wakes my senses.
I realize that I'm cuddled up to someone. I have my right arm wrapped around a torso and my head is resting on a chest. That's why Jay's voice is so close. My eyes fly open before I unwrap myself from Jay and jump off the couch.
On the other side of the coffee table, I find my mother with a happy smile on her face, Liv with a cheery smile on her face and Matt. He is nothing compared to my mother or Liv. He's completely tensed up and he isn't smiling. Not even close to it. I swear to God if looks could kill.
"I'm sorry Lee Lee. I guess, we fell asleep," Jay apologizes getting up as well. "It is that your Cameron's son and my wife would kill me if I hurt you, but that's my daughter. Stay away," my dad threatens Jay jokingly. He secretly loves my brother's best friend as one of his own.
"You on the other hand," he says turning to Matt. "What are you doing here? Get out of my house." Dad points to the door. I walk over to my boyfriend and stand on my tippy toes.
"Wait for me on the beach," I whisper in his ear. He nods, says bye to everyone and gets out of the house. "I still don't like him," my dad mutters. I roll my eyes and take off to my room. My body is still a little numb, but that's what you get from sleeping on the couch.
"Lee Lee?" I hear coming from my door. "Kai, can we come in?" I hear Liv's voice. I respond that they can come in, but that I'm changing. I quickly change into some shorts and a maroon shirt, with maroon converse. I walk out of my walk-in-closet.
Okay, that sounds weird. I walk out of something, which is called walk-in.
Anyway, back to the point, in my room I find Liv and Jay sitting on my bed. Both of them are staring at me. Jay's mouth is a little widened. I give them a questioning look. "We need to talk," Liv tells me. She orders me to sit down on the bed. For once I obey. I sit down leaning my back against the headboard.
"He's not good for you," Liv tells me. I roll my eyes at her. I should have known it would be about this. "She's right, Lee Lee. You could get so much better," Jay supports Liv.
"I don't want better. Matt is a gentleman and he's the best," I tell them. Now, it's their time to roll their eyes.
"Is a boy that causes you to stop speaking to your twin brother or break your amazing relationship with your father really the best?" Liv asks me. I give her a blank stare.
"Besides that, don't tell us that Matt is not the reason for all your recent fights. I know that I haven't been around for a year, but Liv and you almost never fought. Neither did you and Kevin. Especially not to the point where you are ignoring each other," Jay adds to the point. I give him a blank stare also. It might all be true, but that's because they don't want to see the good in Matt.
"Maybe try to get to know him before you judge. I love him. You can't change that," I tell them before I walk out of my room leaving them on my bed.
